Dr. Vijaya Dhanireddy Boyella, MD

Dr. Boyella is very caring and compassionate! Always open to questions, and willing to be involved in care. We are fortunate to have her in Montgomery!

I am and have been a patient of Doctor Boyella's for a number of years. my visits are always very plasent, treaments , communications are all done with the upper most respect, care and concern.

Thanks to Dr. Boyella and her staff member Ms. Tenisha for referring my husband to a specialist in Birmingham. He received a very early diagnoses of Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer. We cannot thank them enough for their persistence and follow through. Instead of waiting six to twelve months to repeat the intial testing, they sent my husband immediately for consultation. I cannot imagine how much more the cancer may have grown if we had waited any longer. Early diagnosis is key. We owe them so much for their professionlism, kindness and the opportunity for more time with family and friends.

I found Dr. Boyella to be very competent, thorough, and kind. Her office staff has always been kind and courteous to me. Dr. Boyella's nurse was always available to me by phone to answer any questions I had before I was even officially a patient, and I had many. I have no complaints about the scheduling of a procedure I needed at the surgery center, and the staff there was very kind and attentive. My office and surgery center experiences have been excellent.

I was in the hospital at Jackson and in need of endoscopic exams. She performed both upper and lower. She referred me to Bham for surgery. It was the best decision for my issue. I was pleased she cared enough to make the referral as she saw that as the best option for me.

Dr. Boyella took plenty of time explaining procedures and possible problems. Very friendly and even called us herself to reschedule an appointment!

Being a patient of Dr. Boyella's for 5 years, both my husband and myself. We have found her to be always accessible and professional. Her appointments were always in a timely manner and follow up after appointments and procedures were timely as well.

The staff is nice, but the doctor is horrible. I have never met anyone as incompetent, unprofessional, and rude this physician. I'm going to make sure to see one of the other gastroenterologists in Sierra Vista, or even drive up to Tucson, before seeing her again.

Dr. Boyella doesn't take responsibility for her mistakes, gives no time to the patient to clarify or ask questions, does not listen to the patient, and does not have any curiosity about the unique symptoms and history of the patient, Consequently I'm very skeptical of her knowledge of research and current practices in her own field. Her admissions staff has generally been courteous and helpful.

Dr. Boyella has terrible communication skills. She is extremely rude and confrontational and refused to accept responsibility for any of her actions. She did not explain anything about my procedure to me and failed to communicate with the hospital. She seemed unfamiliar with basic and current practices and procedures pertaining gastroenterology. She also failed to verify my insurance as I had requested and so I had to cancel my procedure because I did not have time (the day before the procedure) to correct the problems her office created. When I called to try to rectify the situation so I could have the procedure as scheduled, Dr. Boyella rudely reminded me 6 or 7 times in one phone conversation that she had to come in on her day off (Fri) to help me All to fix a use problem SHE and her staff created due to their lack of attention to detail! Also, Dr. Boyellas staff promised me they would try to schedule me in for a cancellation because I was leaving the country yet they forgot to… do that too and were rude to me when I asked about it. Through all of this nonsense, I tried to reach them several times (10+) and they did not even answer their phone.
