Dr. Vijayasree Arvind, MD

Dr.Arvind is a very sweet,compassionate individual. She cares about her patients. These days this is an unusual trait in a doctor. I feel fortunate to have her as my physician.

I was referred to Dr. Arvind by my Primary Care Dr. I am not an early riser and scheduled the appt. for 11: 30 a.m. on Friday. I was called to ask if I could come in earlier since the Dr. wanted to leave by noon. I reluctantly agreed- to 9:40 am. I got in earlier than that and filled out 5 or so pages of forms. I was called back and Dr. Arvind came in and spent maybe 10 minutes with me ,asked me to bend forward and backward and show her where I hit my back when I fell. I did that and she said she would call in Tylenol 3 to my drugstore. I was a little disappointed that I was just dismissed so abruptly but then I am 81 years old and have become used to being treated in this manner. When I reached the drugstore I was told they could not fill the prescription because the Dr. had made a mistake on it and the Druggist needed to get it corrected before it could be filled. She called and I called but they put us to voice mail and no call back. I still do not have the pain meds . Old… people aren't always treated so well . But they do take our money.

The worst doctor I've ever been to. Would not take my dog to her. Does not care about patients.

Dr. Arvind was very skillful, in finding the real cause of pain, in my very complicated situation. She was able to make my pain manageable and got my life back, by getting ridding of pain. I was very crabby when I initially approached her office staff, since I thought this will be one more pain doctor who will overdope me with pain pills. The front office staff, Ingrid was very calm, patient and thoughtful. She explained that I will definitely need to get a referral from my existing physician, otherwise insurance will not pay my bills. She was able to call my physician office, get the referral (which was approved but not sent) and able to schedule me on the same day. Kudos. Never seen such pleasant and efficient customer service. All of her staff are bilingual and nice. It makes a difference when you are in pain and need to speak to a understanding and empathic staff to make life worth living again.

The best Pain Management Doctor with great clinical performance and excellent patient care services. Period.

Based on my 1.5 years of treatment, I noticed this doctor will prescribe medication based on your clinical needs. she reads your medical history, cares of you and does not want you to be drug zombie. If you are a drug addict, or person who fakes pain to sell it on the side to make money - this doctor is NOT for you. This doctor is fellowship trained in pain management in Harvard and not a person who jumped in the pain management band wagon to make a quick money to prescribe opiods of druggies. If you genuinely want to get better and weaned of drugs eventually this is the doctor for you. I find it refreshing that all of the staff speak Spanish.

Qualification - While I was waiting could not help notice, she is trained in Anesthesia and has a fellowship in Pain Management both from Harvard. Lots of doctors I researched do not have fellowship in Pain Management. Listened to me patiently. Was able to diagnse my condition and came up with a plan.

Doesn't care about patients. Will make false accusations about your meds if you tell her injections didn't work. Don't waste your time or money on this doctor. Find one that really is experienced in pain management, because this one isn't.

I injured my back a few years ago in the military. I told her I have severe upper back pain along with scoliosis due to the lower disk injuries (been seen by one of the best surgeons in Texas that informed me of all of this). I have been on a regular regiment that has been working since the injury just switched insurance and geographical location so I had to switch Dr. She didn't even care to listen and only did an MRI of the wrong area lubmar instead of scloracic lumbar ($489 with insurance) and then gave me a trial drug that was basically Excedrin with a red bull that I was supposed to take 2x a day... Good luck sleeping. She over scheduled her appt so I was waiting an hour after my appt to have me in for 5 min just to say try this trial drug. No physical therapy no nothing.
