Dr. Vikas V Varma, MD

My visit was scheduled via Zocdoc. Unfortunately, the practice is too cheap to pay for the software connection from Zocdoc to their office platform. I arrived and was told I didn't have an appointment. Later on the inexperienced practice manager called to ask if I wanted another appointment. No compensation for the Uber rides just a lot of attitude.

A wonderful calming presence. Knowledgeable and confident. Zeroed in to my problem after questioning and listening. Gave assessment - and reccommendations.

When I got my first excruciating, painful sciatica first ever episode, after urgent care of which did not help with pain at all. Two days later at 3am, I had to go the ER due all the pain still there. Thank God I found Dr. Vikas Varma. He was the only doctor able to alleviate and control my pain. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Varma because he is thorough, straight to the point and offers suggestions and options based on how you feel, and never pushes a surgery unless it is the last and final option. I see that he genuinely cares for his patience. This is my reason for five stars thank you to Dr. Varma and his staff!! O.A.

I was unhappy with my experience with Dr. Varna. The office itself was fine, Toni (receptionist) and Crystal (nurse) were very nice and helpful; Dr. Varna on the other hand was interruptive and did not make proper time for me to explain my issues. He made assumptions about my health based on my age and gender during our conversation, and I did not feel that I was able to properly explain myself to give him an accurate picture of the situation at hand. The conversation was continuously interrupted by Dr. Varna's questions, while i was mid-sentence, and I would get cut off before I finished my full thoughts. In the end, I was referred to see another kind of specialist, a month of yoga classes, and to come back in six weeks if my situation hasn't improved which, for $350, is an absolute disgrace. This conclusion would’ve sufficed if I felt he had a comprehensive idea of the issue, but I did not. I felt like this appointment was rushed and inconclusive, which I would never expect at such a… high self-pay price. Being a young woman and having to work hard to advocate for yourself to doctors is already difficult as is, and Dr. Varna was unsuccessful in making me feel like my issues were heard and properly addressed. The ridiculous medical bill just adds insult to injury. I will not be returning to this center and I would not recommend it to my friends or relatives.

Dr. Varma is the best! He spends time with you, listens to what you say. Plus he is an outstanding surgeon - he certainly saved my back!

Dr. Varma has just the qualities that are important to a patient. He knows a lot, has an extremely pleasant manner and is very encouraging. He helped overcome a horrible case of sciatica and I do not hesitate to see him now for other orthopedic problems that come up from time time. He's just a really good doctor.

Dr Varma is a brilliant and skilled surgeon who did a total spinal fusion on my back and took away the most unimaginable pain from my life. He is very caring and patient and is always there to guide me and reassure me. I am grateful we found him. His follow up visits are productive and welcomed.

Dr Varma was so thorough and explained all of my MRIs to me piece by piece. He was very honest and clear with his recommendations. Highly recommended, so happy I found him.

This was my first visit with Dr. Varma though I have been a patient of other physicians in his practice for years. He kept me waiting but it was well worth the wait. He is very thorough, very patient (he handled a snarky remark of mine with grace and tolerance), and kind. I've decided he is my new ortho doc. But I will try to schedule my appointments for first thing in the morning in the future as he advised.
