Dr. Viliam Jesus Furdik, MD

I was referrred to Dr. Furdik through an ER visit, and things just went downhill from there. I was in extreme pain and was seen at his office the next day, he recommended a steroid injection into my joint. I agreed and was lead to the scheduling area, I was then informed that he did not have any openings for "procedures" until 2 weeks from then as he only did procedures on Fridays... So in tears I took the appointment and asked the scheduler if I could see the Dr. again to find out what I should do until then. She came back with a narcotic and muscle relaxer and a note saying I could not work for the next 2 weeks. I waited in pain for my appointment, on the day I went in to get my procedure as I'm laying on the table and they go to put me under, the IV was not in my vein, needless to say that the thought of them doing a precious injection into my spine after this was a little worrying, but they got the next IV in the vein and I was sleeping in seconds. I awoke in worse pain than… ever, and it looked like there was an egg under my forarm. I went home and iced and took my painkillers but was in agony the entire weekend. I went back in on Monday and they still had no idea what was wrong, finally he referred me out, and luckily the new Dr sent me to PT, and they were able to fix the problem immediately with a small adjustment... I had waited 6 weeks for a 30 second fix. Due to being off work for so long, with Dr Furdik's notes I had to apply for short term disability, what a nightmare, and it is still going on 4 months later, as Dr. Furdik and his office will not call the insurance back.

I saw Dr. Furdik after 3 doctors had failed to diagnose my back problem. He diagnosed a collapsed vertebra and referred me to Dr. Ben Pradhan who did surgery. Dr. Furdik is a gentle doctor who didn't try to keep me as a patient but referred me to another doctor who permanently fixed my back with surgery.

I have seen other doctors for nerve blocker treatment with much less success than Dr. Furdik was able to achieve with me. I don't know if he's the best, but his treatment was much more successful than I've ever had previously. He explained everything and is definitely very skilled at his craft, which is important when injecting medication into the spine!
