Dr. Vincenzo Castellano, MD

I've been seeing Dr Castellano since 2008. He has treated me for hip and shoulder problems over the years. He has also treated numerous family members and friends over the years for various issues. His expertise in solving our problems is outstanding. And his caring demeanor for his patients is like no other.

Have been going to Dr. Castellano for my arthritic knees. His bedside manner is excellent and took the time to explain every facet of the shots he gave me for my knees. His staff was also very helpful and friendly (Michael & Julie) I high recommend this doctor is you have any knee related issues

First the office manager Michael never calls you back. It looks like it is impossible to schedule appointment. He may be a good MD but he needs to change his office staff.

After waiting 2+ months & traveling into NYC, his receptionist refused me. Doctor couldn't even break to talk with me. Very unprofessional. Maybe a good doc, but his office personnel very sub par. Would not recommend.

Finally a doc that spends time and listens! I highly recommend Dr. Castellano.

WAIT TOO LONG FOR APPOINTMENTS AND CALL BACKS FROM MESSAGES LEFT. STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I HEARD STAFF MANAGER YELLING AT A PATIENT IN WAITING ROOM BEHIND A DOOR! THEN SHE YELLED AT ME ALSO. STAFF HAS NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN REFERENCE TO AUTHORIZATIONS. WAIT FOR AUTHORIZATIONS THAT WERE NEVER NEEDED. WHEN THEY RETURN CALLS THEY HANG UP ON YOU AND DON'T EVEN SAY GOODBYE.

Dr. Castellano is good but his office staff is absolutely rude. They are constantly taking other calls when a patient is in their office requiring attention. They seem to regard us as nusiances and this is not appreciated, I have to wonder why he has not made changes in this area from the reviews I have read on multiple sites, this has been a problem for quite some time. He needs to address this and clean house as they are the main reason I would not work with him again.

Dr. Castellano is great. He took a lot of time with me to answer and explain. His office staff are another thing. They are rude and said they would call back and never did.

Very easy to get initial appointment, very difficult to get a follow up appointment. Doctor is good, great bedside manner. The staff is rude and not interested at best.
