Dr. Vincenzo Giannelli, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Giannelli for several years and I had a very favorable opinion. But a few days ago, for the first time, I sent him a message through my patient's portal. It was a pressing question. He did not answer. I tried again the next day, still no answer. I tried a third time, a day later. He never answered. I also left message on his nurse's voicemail. She never called back.

He treats his patients with respect and professionalism. I’m very happy with the service l been receiving , this is me I don’t have any complaints. I recommend.

I strongly suggest you not to visit this person for treatment and to search elsewhere for a professional doctor who can provide professional care and advice. Mr Giannelli has no communication skills and is extremely rude. He shorts on appointment time and walks out of the room when he thinks he's done. He's the only "doctor" that can see patients in the clinic and has to rush through people to avoid keeping people waiting. They put people in separate patient rooms to give the illusion that you're being seen, even though you'll be expected to wait even more after waiting already in the reception. Very disorganized and he doesn't take the time to even examine properly, basically just winging it, and not asking questions or asking you. They are not diligent at calling you back and putting in prescription orders quickly and I've always had to follow up repeatedly. There is much better in DC for less money. Rip off merchant.

I came to Dr. Gianelli for some issues with my skin the first time, and that was fine; the second time, he decided to have a nurse come out into the lobby after I saw him and asked if I would like to come into a room and they would tell me how to use the medication he suggested, I said, it is not necessary. He came into his lobby and reprimanded in front of the other patients. Don’t you think he should’ve told me how to use the product when I was in the room speaking to him? He went away and came back and I told him what I thought of him... I said you’re a very rude man. I told his staff I would never come back to see him and I won’t, but I’m warning you people he is very rude, condescending doctor and basically I think he’s has something wrong with him. I’ve never met a doctor like him in my life, in my life! He followed up with me a week later by sending me a letter, which I never opened but shredded, because I never want anything to do with him again.

This doctor an staff do not know how to handle patients with respect. Besides rudeness the long waits and total disregard for patient care, they go the extra mile to overcharge visits, not very professional or honest practice.

I came to Dr. Giannelli having diagnose dermatitis by GW University hospital for another opinion by dermatologist. He inspected my rash without the gloves. Please, note that I had only visual inspection - no other tests (e.g. temperature, blood pressure, etc.). When he was gone after visual inspection of rash his assistant Ms. Kelly Jane said that she would like to take biopsy for microscopic examination. Since my rash is located where I can’t see I was unable to observe the biopsy in progress. It was fast and painless. Later the same day when I opened the band I saw a deep blue stitch. I was absolutely shocked and could not believe that I had surgical interference that will end up with a scar. I was not informed that ‘biopsy’ is a deep cut of a slice of my body and did not give my written consent to surgical interference causing scarring my skin. I do not have medical background and unable to determine that biopsy is a surgical deep cut that will lead to scar. Later dr. Gianelli… called me to confirm dermatitis as diagnosis and when I expressed to him my concerns that I did not give my consent for biopsy he said that from my 'common background' (education) I have to know what biopsy is. Now you know my story, so please be aware and think twice.

I went if for a minor removal of tiny little bump and he left me with a horrible scar.. He didn't even have decency to tell me what would happen. I look at the scar go into tears. It was an awful experience. I tried to phone and they have done no follow-up.

I found Dr. Giannelli not bad I am happy with the service provided he is a little expensive with surprise fees but he cured my skin problem so I am happy. I would recommend him. His office checked up on me if you have an issue the Doctor was prompt in resolving it.

he overcharges a lot. For 3 minutes of service he charged for 30 minutes of time.
