Dr. Vineet Mehta, MD

This guy has a Dr. Doom personality mixed with a know it all attitude that will eventually result in a patients unfortunate suicide/death. Nothing you tell him is accurate, he knows better so just shut up and take these meds. The Medical Board, a person of authority or someone he trusts needs to sit down with him and dispense a dose of attitude adjustment to Dr. Mehta.

If I were a lawyer I'd sue this guy. Terrible Doctor. Psychiatric care in this country is a pathetic joke.

I've been under doctor's care for depression over the past 18 years. My former doctor left his practice and my therapist highly recommended Dr Mehta. In a short period of time during my first appointment I understood why he was highly recommended.

I highly recommend Dr. Mehta. He is experienced in this specialty and caring. He is also very thoughtful and knowledgeable in his practice.

Dr. Mehta is a wonderful psychiatrist, thoughtful and attentive.

I came in with ADHD and anxiety. He prescribe me celexa antidepressant . I never had depression. I trusted him. I thought let me try. After few month i started to have problems and try to call and make appointment since i did not feel right. Guess what this professional did? He say sorry i have too many patience and i have to drop you. Its happen when i started to have problems after he started his "treatment". I went to the office and for help but he he say he is too busy. So he absolutely don't care about his clients. Its really dangerous doctor. He avoid responsibility for his mistakes. Mistakes made by him could fatal and cost you life!

I was originally in the hospital for a small brain aneurysm. I spoke to my brother on the phone and became very angry. So, I agree to speak to a psychiatrist. This jerk off comes into my room the next morning. He doesn't even properly assess my situation, and already he wants to shove pills down my throat by giving me a script for antidepressants when I am not depressed. I am just having a couple problems that I just needed to talk about. Because of my anger, this moron said to me that he heard I have a history of psychosis, and I denied it. Because it was not true. Then he goes on to ASK me if I even know what that is? I tell him yes, and show him that I am in fact a very intelligent young woman. So then he backs off with the medication, however he refers me to a place where they don't care about hearing about what you are going through. All they want to do is shove medication down your throat just like this doctor did. Which is why I gave this jerk low scores.

This doctor was mostly very pleasant in the office but operated on a lot of assumptions and was very quick to diagnose and prescribe very strong medication without trying something much milder first. He seems to look at small instances rather than whole picture i.e., just looking at how I feel but not looking at my current circumstances. He really didn't seem to trust my input or perspective and encouraged me to stay in a mentally abusive marriage....I think his personal beliefs came before patient health. I think he is a little dangerous and won't stand behind his work. He prescribed medication that made me sleep in a coma-like state making it dangerous for someone to take care of a child and certainly couldn't function very well most of the next day but when told about this he had an "oh well" attitude. Finally, he refused to write a letter saying how this medication may affect me or what my my state of mind might be from it. Very irresponsible and careless
