Dr. Vinicio Hernandez, MD

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hernandez and he asked me why I was there. Clearly he did not review any notes prior to the appointment. He said he needed to contact the provider who referred me to him to ask a few questions, but he never did. Instead, I contacted the provider and they tried for 2 weeks to reach Dr. Hernandez. He never came to the phone or returned their calls. During my appointment he rudely cut me off while I was explaining my health concerns. I had to call his office to see what progress has been made regarding contact with my insurance and absolutely nothing was done.

No masking policy. They kept trying to talk to me without a mask on. I was in tears they did not care.

This is an absolutely HORRIBLE doctor! He is PATHETIC! My son (just turned 21 eight days ago) has sickle cell anemia and WAS a patient of this charlatan of a doctor. My son began to have an extremely painful sickle cell crisis. My husband and I rushed him to the hospital but we are new to Florida and weren’t sure which hospital to take him to. On the drive out of our neighborhood we called “Dr. Hernandez” and was told by his staff to take my son to Dr. Phillips Hospital (which is 32 minutes from our home)! We drive with my son in agonizing pain all the way to the hospital and immediately told the ER who his doctor was. I repeatedly asked for Dr. Hernandez to be called but wasn’t sure what the hold up was. I then called Dr. Hernandez’s office back 4 times to see what his plan was to either advise the hospital doctors on the proper protocol for pain management for people with SCD or come to the hospital to see my son (which is WHY we came to THIS far away hospital). Dr. Hernandez NEVER… showed up or even called to check on my son. I even called the after hours “on-call” doctor and left frantic messages and no one even bothered to RETURN MY CALL! I was only continuing to call because the hospital doctors were clearly not able to get my son’s pain under control. Hence, you have a doctor who is SUPPOSED to be trained in this area. I called for the 7th time early the next morning after my son had been in the hospital for at least 24 hours and this AWFUL “doctor” had the nerve to tell me, “why are you calling me repeatedly about your son when there are doctors there in the hospital who can take care of him?” I told EXACTLY what I thought of his abysmal performance as a hematologist and in NO UNCERTAIN terms told him HE SHOULD NEVER SEE PATIENTS WITH SICKLE CELL ANEMIA ever! He should not see patients AT ALL with how flippant and dismissive he was of my son! HORRIBLE physician! DEPLORABLE! Unacceptable behavior and a shame and a disgrace to the medical field! Find another doctor! RUN to another practice. This one is BAD NEWS!

During the time I have received my Monthly Tysabri infusion ( aprox. One and a half year) in Dr.Vinizio’s office the services offered by him and the personnel have been more than outstanding. They have been client- centered to my needs and have been extremely supportive. I sure hope that we will have a long medical- patient relation.

Very rude and unprofessional Dr. save yourself time and money.

This person is a shame to the medical field, be aware!!!

If I could give this Dr. a negative 100 I would. This is the most rudest unprofessional Dr I’ve ever encountered in my life. It’s unbelievable how someone with such a joke of an office can still run a Drs. Office. I have him recorded telling me he’s a bad Dr.

This Dr. has done nothing for me or nothing to help improve my cancer. I have been his guinea pig since day one. He insisted on chemo treatments that did not help but yet continued treatments without trying other options. Now i'm too far gone to do anything about it. I have been given 3-6 mo to live and i regret the day i stepped foot in his office. He is arrogant and a know it all? When actually he knows nothing about human beings, human feelings, or treating patients with cancer. He does know how to sit back and collect patients insurance money while he watches them die. DO NOT LET THIS DOCTOR TREAT YOU OR ANYONE YOU LOVE! It's too late for me but not too late for you.

He's all about money, not care for his patients. My sister is hanging on to life. He gave her the wrong CHEMO drug. We got another DR. and she's on a different drug now. This DR. will not run the right test on you, he has a CHEMO drug he like and it's all you will get even if your cancer get worse. DR Hernandez will let you die.
