Dr. Vinita Bhagia, MD

My first visit to Dr. Bhagia (but not Diagnostic Clinic as I am an established patient whose longtime physician retired) was one of an emergency. I was having a dental procedure and spiked a blood pressure so high that they would not continue until I had medical clearance. My thought was that she was going to want to send me for every conceivable test to make sure she was covered. She was calm, listened intently, checked 10 years of blood pressures all of which were normal. Then we derived a plan where I would take a tranquilizer before the next dental appointment. Dental procedure was finished successfully. I have continued with her and she understands that because I am an octogenarian that I do not want usual and customary diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy, mammogram, or bone density evaluation because I would just let nature take its course. Moreover, she understands that I would want treatment for things like cold, skin rash, or other similar things. I… appreciate a physician who listens and makes decisions on evaluation the sensibility and rationality of the patient's health care goals. I do agree with some of the other comments by reviewers about some of the staff.

Dr. Bhagia is one of the best in her field and her bed side manner is fantastic, one that I wish other doctors would learn from. She is a keen listener and very passionate about endocrinology. I highly recommend Dr. Bhagia if you are on the search for a good endo.

Rude employees that make appointments I have tried for two weeks to get and appointment referred by PCP but I can't get appointment all I'm told is a lie o well I guess the Dr made enough money she don't need new patients her staff is a reflection of there employer best I don't get an appointment

Staff doesn't mirror Dr. Bhagia's personality. I have not found Kim or Jonna to be very courteous. When I have asked for specifics they're vague and reluctant to provide answers. Their routine answer seems to be that someone is running behind. I was asked to fill out the same documents despite informing them I had already done so. The receptionist told me that they recently upgraded their database. When I asked how recently she didn't know what to say but eventually responded with earlier this year. She couldn't check. She just insisted I fill them out. Later Jonna told her that I may have very well filled out the documents but she had not uploaded them yet. That was it. No one said anything more. No one apologized. I really like Dr. Bhagia but I'm not thrilled about her staff.

I didn't even get to the doctor, I left! Her Medical Assistant, Jessica Sandoval was so disgraceful, humiliating, and offensive, I didn't want to stay during my intake. The docs MA was so verbally harassing that I feared the doctor would be the same. I waited 2 1/2 months for my appointment, as she was recommended by my OB. I've now scheduled another appointment at another hospital, and my referring physician won't see me again as well. I'm also a medical professional, and if I ever talked or treated my patients this way, I would lose my job! This girl was demeaning, and thought she could talk to me in a way that was so inappropriate, I was appalled! If you choose to go to this office, I hope you don't have to deal with this rude, harassing, and embarrassing Medical Assistant!

the nurse i have dealth with on two occasions has been incredibly rude and dismissive. Cringe at the thought of dealing with her again. Also, getting an appointment is a huge hassel. I would not reccomend. The Dr herself, was nice enough, but not worth dealing with the staff.

Dr. Bhagia is very condescending and has a terrible bedside manner. She certainly didn't give me the impression that she cared one bit about me as a patient.

I feel like a new person since I have been evaluated by MD. Bhagia. Best endocrinologist in Chicago!!!

extremely disappointed. very rushed and flippant care...always 2-3 resident doctors in room at same time (did not even ask if it was ok with me) poor ...
