Dr. Vinodh Narayanan, MD

Dr. Narayanan is an awesome doctor, even though he didn't take us as a patient because our Kid's primary concern was seizures, he is really knowledgeable and he is a kind of doctor you dream of getting for yourself and your child all your life. After all the other neurologists and doctors who had basically written my son off as "lost goods" he was so refreshing and kind in his attitude. He took down detailed notes, answered all our questions, and even suggested pursuing other testing not done on my kid yet. He is really patient. And his follow up after visit is something no Doctor has matched till date in the US for me/wife or son.

Our son had a condition called Benign Paroxsysmal Torticollis. It's a very rare complicated disorder that requires ruling out other things like seizures out and watching symptoms carefully. We were scheduled to get into PCH but the wait was months and a friend suggested I call this doctor who had just started his own practice (AZ Pediatric Neurology). Before I even met Dr. Narayanan he spent half an hour on the phone with me because we live a couple of hours from Phoenix and promptly got us in for an appointment at 5 months old. He was available with a personal number any time we had emergencies. This man is EVERYTHING you would want. Kind, knowledgeable, caring, intuitive and REASONABLE. I always felt like he had not only my sons best interests at heart but also was very sensitive to how scared and worried we were. I really honestly have never had a better experience with a doctor. This man has literally become a part of our lives in the past year and I don't know what we would have… done without him. BTW - he seems very versed in infantile seizures which is not what we were dealing with - but if you are - he is a very good doctor for this purpopse.
