Dr. Virginia Irene Lay, MD

Did dr lay retire i call her office they said they think she retire.

I have been going to DR Lay for 11 years and love her. The staff is ok and she is great! The office is clean and they always keep in touch and quickly address concerns. She is a nice, fun and brutally honest doctor! And I like that.

I chose Dr. Virginia Lay based on the "Reviews" and the location was very convenient. I gave it a year before switching to a new GYNO and I don't regret it. The staff from Lay's Office weren't pleasant and Lay never seemed to find anything wrong with me I kept getting intolerable cramps she claimed all the tests came back good every concern or questions I had she didn't seem happy answering them, sarcastic most of the time. My new Gynecologist informed me that I had fibroids and had to get a Hysterectomy. UPDATE: ALL has been well ever since.

Dr. Lay is a very competent OBGYN; however, her bedside manner is lacking. She is often curt and sarcastic in her responses to questions and often leaves the impression that she is annoyed if you ask her any questions. She almost always rushes out the door and barely gives you any time during appointments. Her staff is usually courteous; however, they are sometimes a bit rude or unfriendly; perhaps dealing with such a crank of boss leaves them slightly grumpy.

Dr. Lay was my doctor for about 2 years, very cold, did not answer any of my concerns and the worse: the office and examination room very dirty,I'm never going back.

i just recently changed gyno after not feeling 'warmed' by the staff every time i go there, nor assured by dr. lay. the new one i have is 100x better!! i had a colposcopy done by her but never received results either. i just called to have my records faxed over since the new office faxed over my release. it took them 2 weeks to let me know i had to pay $1/page and that i have to pick them up, they don't fax??! i had to call them, they didn't even call me. office staff is not friendly at all!

I like Dr. Lay, she is a caring doctor, but I keep bringing up a problem that I think I have, but she never really finds anything wrong. I feel wait time is too long...I think she could spend 5 minutes and address my concern. I've never received a follow-up call regarding my results...they say if we don't call you everything is okay. I think we should get a follow-up form letter stating are results are normal...I feel wait time is too long, but I understand that she has a lot of pregnant women as well, & there will be times of emergency. Overall I like the doctor.
