Dr Reeder has been talking care of my little skin problems since she was a PA . Never had any problems getting in and the staff is very helpful.

Doctor didn’t listen or seemed to care. I felt rushed. I won’t use this doctor again.

Excellent doctor

My first visit with doctor reeder, left feeling that she didn’t listen to a word i said, told her that a certain product didn’t work for me she then gave me a so called milder version of that product, asked for a wash that i loved that i feel works great on my skin, she over looked that and gave me something else that I did not ask for she never took the time the explain to me what the product was or how often to use. The nurse even told that the product didn’t work for me she didn’t care! She was in the room all of ten minutes with me! She never used and gloves to further evaluate my skin, their wasn’t thorough treatment plan, but wanted me to jump on oral meds without even trying other topical treatments! I will never patronize this lady again! She has been the second doctor that i have seen that came across like that could careless about the patient. (ME)

I saw Dr Reeder for a problem with the skin ion my hand. She assured me that even though the wounds smelled bad and hurt there was no chance of infection. She drew blood and sent me home. The next day I was hospitalized with a life threatening infection. She called me two days after discharge from the hospital to tell me my blood work showed I "likely have an infection." Her only medication recommendation was a biologic called Dupixent. She tried no other medications and did nothing to help. When the drug company rejected her drug request, she never called to follow up or try to help me find medication that would help. Two weeks later while working the pediatric hospital wards I encountered another one of her patients who she put on Dupixent that developed an infection around both eyes that could have resulted in loss of vision for this child. The mother tried multiple times to get her to address the issue but Dr. Reeder never did and the child ended up hospitalized for days on very… strong IV antibiotics. A dermatologist that can't pick out obvious cellulitis needs more training.

NO, NO, NO, Dr. Virginia Reeder is a nightmare and treated me with the upmost disrespect. I was sent by my OBGYN for hair loss due to hormones. She sent me a letter saying she refuses to treat me unless it’s life threading, only because I made a phone call to her office manager regarding my $300 bill. 1. She refused to read my emails with my attached medical records, which was confirmed by their sister office that the email had never been opened. 2. Her assistant took my medical records to make a copy and brought them back untouched. Some more paper clipped and some were stapled. They were brought back exactly the same and never scan to my records. 3. She misdiagnosed me and said my hair loss was hereditary. This misdiagnose was confirmed by the head doctor at their sister office My mom has massive amounts of hair. 4. She kept trying to sell me on getting an expensive hair replacement implant with her friend in another state. I still had enough hair for two heads. 5. When I… tried to discuss with her that my problem was telogen (hormones) and not hereditary she kept leaning closer to my face until I was halfway is off the examining table. I kept backing up and she kept leaning in closer. 6. She told me to go buy $12 Rogaine from Walmart. 7. When I asked her to look at my blood work, which I had with me, to show it was hormone related, she refused and said go buy Rogaine. 8. I was trying to pick up my purse to leave and her assistant shoved my cup of coffee in my hand 3 times, then yelled 10 feet down the hall, “excuse me” for me to get out of her way in the hall. 9. I got a bill for $300 for a misdiagnosed appointment. 10. When I disagreed with the bill, Dr. Reeder Sent me a letter saying she refuses to treat me unless it’s life threatening. I am thankful the billing manager seen how unreasonable she is and gave me a $100 discount.. GO SEE DR. HALEY at Haley Dermatology in Fairhope! She is a real doctor, loving, compassionate and knows what she is doing! Please don’t put yourself through this with Dr. Reeder!

Dr. Reeder and her staff are very professional and friendly, unlike another Derm doc I recently saw in Baldwin County. I believe that staff can make or break a practice. So far, so good here. I recommend.

Only waited 15 mts. I was so impressed with Dr. Reeder’s knowledge . She was so helpful and empathetic! Explained my skin condition thoroughly .
