Dr. Virna Lisa Simmons, MD

I was seeing dr. Simmons at the oakhurst clinic. Dr. Simmons is an excellent doctor. What happens to her. I called the oakhurst clinic and they stated she is no longer there

Dr. Simmons is one of the best doctors that I have had in my 50 years of visiting doctors she takes the time to listen understand and do everything she can to make sure she helps find a solution for my office visit concerns she shows that she cares about the patients on a genuine level and I truly truly miss her

Dr. Simmons has been my primary care physician for many years, she is excellent!

Dr. Virna Simmons is the GREAST EVER!!! She cares a lot about people and the whole wellness of treatment. She makes sure that she listens to your concerns about you. She followed up with me herself making sure I was ok. I recently heard about her leaving Oakcrest Medical in Stonecrest Mountain, I was very saddened by it.

I've had only two appointments with Dr. Simmons. The first as a new patient was the longest. I filled out a lot of paperwork on a tablet (which did make things easier) and waited 2-3 hours before being roomed to be seen by the doctor. I assumed that because I was a new patient that this is the reason it took so long for me to be seen. However, for my follow up appointment a month later, it was still the same thing. I am unsure if there is a shortage of rooms for patients but the clinic was not crowded either time. It takes entirely too long to be roomed to be seen because Dr. Simmons really takes her time with her patients. While I appreciate the thorough care, the time spent in the office is just not worth it. Thankfully, parking is free because this review could be much worse. I love Dr. Simmons as a doctor but I cannot afford to lose so much time just to see her for an appointment. For this reason alone, I am changing providers. Also, calling in to make an appointment should be… significantly easier. Most of the time I cannot get anyone on the phone. Very disappointing.
