Summary
I come from a family of physicians. My grandfather was a family practice physician in India, and he was my first role model. I spent my childhood in Detroit. I went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for college, graduate school, medical school, and my neurosurgery residency. As a resident, I was heavily involved in developing formal regulations for training of U.S. resident physicians.
