Dr. Vittorio M Morreale, MD

My wife has had two back surgeries performed by Dr. Morreale. Her first surgery was smooth as silk. She had been through pain medication and trips to pain clinics without any results. The following day after surgery she to doctor that she was pain free. On year later she suffered a fall at home and following a trip to ER she was sent home with pain pills. One week later she was taken by ambulance to HF ER. Following a CT scan they discovered a vertebrae fracture which at first view it was thought Kypoplasti could repair the problem. Dr. Morreale requested an MRI which indicated a more serious fracture. All of this transpired following a Palm Sunday weekend while Dr. Morreale was on vacation. Upon seeing the extent of the fracture he chose to perform the surgery within a couple of days I lieu of having staff doctors. That surgery was also successful. In both cases we had no problems with office staff and scheduling.

Zero compassion, zero urgency to pain, arrogant. I feel sadness for any human being treated poorly by another. When lack of humanity comes directly from a healthcare provider... THATS a whole different level.

I felt very comfortable in Dr. Morreale's knowledge. I saw three different neurosurgeons for my condition. He's the only one who was concerned with treating my condition.

I heard mixed reviews about Dr. Morreale. I really liked him when I met him. He is very smart, optimistic, and an amazing neuro surgeon. I am so happy I decided to let him help me get my life back. Dr. Morreale, you are so awesome, thank you for doing my surgeries, thank you for helping me. The ladies at the office are wonderful too.

Being in Health care for 40 some years, this man was horrid...Never wore a lab coat and then said he could the epidural injection in my neck, still no lab coat, had me lean over the exam table, I asked if it would hurt and he said wont hurt me but it might hurt you !!!!! Also being a biller when I saw the level he billed for , I was shocked...The longest time with me was 5-10 min.....His NP did everything and he did not even get the injection where is should have gone ! Horrible Dr....

awesome doctor , great knowledge and skill .. I trust him so much I traveled from Washington DC back to Detroit for another neck=spine surgery... why would I trust anyone else.

I had a lumbar fusion with Dr V Morreale what should have been 4 max days spent in hospital ended up being 28 days!! What should have been possibly 2 surgeries ended up being 4!!! Lost total feeling in my right leg & foot due to a screw from the lumbar fusion touching a nerve in my spine!! Took me 18 mos recovery, requiring addition corrective surgeries. To error is human, indeed Dr V Morreale is human tho due to him being human I got the short end of the stick! Before surgery he came highly recommended!! I was totally impressed he will admit his bedside manner is to be desired tho I now have a different opinion of this Dr I put total trust & faith in...I have lost total faith in his ability to handle a lumbar fusion!! By my experience with him solely!! He is a good man, I just question his ability to perform my surgery without leaving me a broken person!!!

Did my brain surgery while I was feeling the whole thing, and was screaming the whole time.
