Dr. Vivek Reddy Garlapati, MD

Dr. Garlapati is only interested in and capable of basic gastro procedures. He does not listen and does not care about patients' overall well-being. He performed a procedure that should have been referred to another doctor with more up-to-date training and equipment. The procedure failed and instead of an instant referral, we were told that he had fixed the problem and that we needed to go to another doctor, even though labs said otherwise. He would not listen. We finally had another doctor order a simple test which showed the problem still existed. We then found another doctor in a larger city who performed the correct procedure and the problem is fixed. If you want to visit this office for a routine procedure, you might be OK. If you have something else going on that needs to be diagnosed, I definitely would not recommend this doctor.

I liked this doctor on the first visit. He wanted the scope, on the second visit he seemed to be disinterested in the rest of me. Just come back for the scope.
