Dr. Vivek Chander Vaid, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Vaids for a while now. I appreciate how direct and upfront he is. I prefer a doctor who tells me as it is and that is exactly what Dr. Vaid does. His staff is always friendly and helpful. In my experience, he is honest and very caring. After finding Dr. Vaid I will never switch because I know that I am getting the best care.

Called Dr Vivek office to attempt to get an accurate medication list for a patient that lives in an assisted living facility. The staff was asked to identify themselves because we needed to know name and tittle of the person we were talking to. The staff stated that they were a Nurse. When question what kind of Nurse she stated I said Medical assistant. Medical Assistant sound nothing like nurse. When we asked her name she refused to give it. When she was questioned if she wears a badge she then gave her name. When we said that we would be writing a letter to the physician she said "do what you want, I don't care". This kind of misrepresentation and rudeness can be dangerous and misleading..

I am very impressed with Dr. Vaid. He has excellent bedside manner, is very knowledgeable, takes time to answer questions, and I felt he really cares about his patients. I have been seeing him for about three years now and referred many of my friends and family to him. I like how Dr. Vaid is blunt and sets goals for a healthy lifestyle. I have lost 8 lbs from taking his recommendations. The office has just been renovated and looks very nice. They are very accommodating for last minute appointments. I did need to call for any cancellations and they called me back and I was seen that day.

Doesn't take patients on short notice. Patient has to be pushy to get an appointment when sick. Tries to charge treatment that is covered by insurance, possibly to collect twice. Also tries to do extra treatment for the money. Doctors office is dirty, looks very unsanitary.

The office staff is ABOSLUTELY HORRIBLE! Good luck trying to call into the office. When I call in I get a busy signal, a long wait or rude office staff. Dr. Vaid has been my physician for 15+ years and each time I visit I swear I'm changing PCP. I faxed a form to the office FIVE TIMES to be filled out and the office staff repeatedly said they did not receive it. UNACCEPTABLE. All they needed to do was transcibe the lab results to the form and send it in. My 11 year old brother could've done that. I really wish I could've given a big fat 0 for courteous courteous office staff. This was the last straw...

"You will die at age of 50" This is the kind of remarks he will give to his patients. Also I was given branded prescription when my current PCP stated I did not even need to take the medicine. I went to have my cholesterol checked but this doctor did all possible unnecessary tests related to back. Pathetic....totally pathetic.....totally unprofessional
