Dr. Vivian Wynette Salazar, MD

I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience. Don't assume that your free annual preventive visit will remain preventive. A routine screening ordered during that visit can end up being billed as a diagnostic service in this office, leaving you responsible for unexpected charges. At my annual wellness visit, I asked Dr. Salazar to order a routine preventive bone density screening. However, the claim was submitted and processed as diagnostic rather than preventive. I spent months communicating with both the doctor's office and my insurance company. I requested case reviews because, during that visit, no symptoms were discussed and no follow-up evaluation for an existing bone condition took place. The office maintained that the coding was correct, and my insurance explained that they had to rely on the provider's coding and documentation. As a result, I had to pay out of pocket for a preventive screening. This is not about the money. It is about whether the medical record and… billing accurately reflected what actually occurred during my visit. Trust between a physician and a patient is built on accurate documentation, transparency, and professional integrity. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost trust in this practice.

She is great! She really care about her patients. Excellent patient care. I am lucky to have her as my primary care physician.

I am a senior citizen and Dr. Salazar has been my primary care physician for may years. I have had some serious medical problems, and she has seen me through all of them. She is very patient and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great primary care physician!

Very poor bedside manor - especially with the elderly.

I think that Dr Salazar is wonderful. She covers it all.
