Dr. Vivian Liting Wang, MD

Vivian Wang, MD, is a bariatric surgeon at Intermountain Health’s Avenues General Surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients in Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, West Valley City, Sugar House, and surrounding communities with clinical interests in bariatric/metabolic surgery, foregut surgery, robotic surgery, robotic minimally invasive surgery approaches, and more. She especially enjoys performing all types of bariatric surgeries. It is very rewarding for her to be able to cure medical conditions, improve overall health and wellness, and prolong someone's lifespan.

As a provider, Dr. Wang views bariatric (or metabolic) surgical weight loss as more than reaching a number on the scale—it’s a lifestyle transformation. She understands that while it improves physical health, it is also closely connected to mental and emotional well-being.
