Dr. Vu Dinh, DO

Aug 2019, I was admitted to hospital through ER for emergency perforated appendix. Apparently, I had waited too long. What can I say, I am not one to run to doctors. Immediately, Dr. Dihn impressed me with his attention to my comfort with regard to pain and my need to understand the requirements and expectations of the procedure. I liked the way he said he takes his time to do the exact right surgery, whether laparoscopic or full opening. Please excuse my non-technical verbiage. He also requested that I stay a 2nd day in the hospital because I had come in so infected. Another Dr. had said I could go home and just take the drain with me and return later to have it removed. Dr. Dihn said he preferred to have me stay to take another day of IV antibiotics rather than at home pills, and so he could monitor my drain and white blood cell count. All of this felt very comforting to me. It felt like an expert was watching over me and that my job was just to rest and heal. After the 2nd day, Dr.… Dihn showed me the new normal white blood cell count, the clear drain fluid, and assured me that I could go home now without an accompanying drain. What a relief. This was my first surgery ever, at the age of 61. I have not one complaint about this surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Dihn.

I had an appointment with him and felt that he already had made up his mind not to see, deal with me because what was in my medical file from my past. I felt like he prejudged me. I also feel that after he read my medical file and knew that he was not going to help me he SHOULD have had a staff member call to refer me to someone else or letting my Doctor know that he was not interested instead of wasting both of our time!!! For me this was something that could have been avoided. Overall the staff was great as for the Doctor ????? experience for me not good, a waste of time for all.
