New Patient and Dr. Makarov prejudged me and discriminated against me. No compassion and no empathy from him at all. Would not listen to me and did not even look at the scans and discs I brought from the radiologists office and he tossed them aside. His arrogance and ego were off the charts. He did not make an effort to get to know me. I cut the visit short because I knew he was not the doctor for me. He became furious and upset. His behavior towards me was unethical and not meeting the standard of the medical community. Please do not let this experience happen to you. If I can help one person with my review then this wasn't all in vain. Trust your gut feeling like I did.

Dr Makarov is very attentive. Listens to patient. Gets to the root cause of a medical problem meticulously working with you investigating the issue. Easy to partner with. Realistic. Easy going. Pays attention to personal details when picking a treatment therapy that realistically fits to my busy life style.

Dr. Makarov saved my foot after prior ER doctor was willing to let me wait overnight for a orthopedic consult. Dr. Makarov came to see me and immediately made the decision to take me to surgery to prevent the loss of my foot and the loss of any of my toes. Dr. Makarov has a vast knowledge with trauma and wound healing. He was beyond supportive in my care and considered me as a patient as well as my family in his decisions. My wife as a nurse was very impressed and felt we could not have had a better surgeon to help us through my accident.
