Dr. Wade Gerard Douglas, MD

I have no idea if Dr. Douglas is a good doctor or not, I couldn’t get past his rude and incompetent staff to see him. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and had to call 7 times to get the prep information. The info was finally emailed to me at 9:15 am the day before the procedure with instructions for 5 days prior to the procedure. I attempted to call and get clarification ( I was told on 3 separate occasions that someone would call me back) when I finally got a call back, it was an extremely rude lady chastising me for not calling back???? At that point I decided that is was probably best to just cancel and go elsewhere for my procedure.

Dr. Doiglas is a wonderful doctor that has a great bedside manner and thinks of his patients as his number one priority. I miss him beinh my doctor in Huntington West Virginia at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center. Thanks Dr. Douglas for all your loving care.

I was diagnosed with a metastatic cancer, and he stated that there was only one way to treat it, and that I would not live beyond 24 months even with treatment. Then he said let's get all the test results back before recommending treatment (after he had already recommended treatment), and he would present it to a board. Met with him in his office after one final test, and he began to say what the "board" recommended, but we asked if he had the PET scan results, and he had NOT seen them yet. How could he present my case to the board without ALL of the test results back? And then sat there lying to us saying he had presented my case to the board, which clearly he had not. We went elsewhere and I am now under excellent care from another doctor that knows what they are doing. And that has an excellent bedside manner.
