Wade Mueller, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School, he completed the residency program in neurological surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He had additional training at the Spinal Cord Injury Service at the Zablocki Veterans Medical Center. He also completed an Epilepsy Surgery Fellowship directed by George A. Ojemann, MD, at the University of Washington. His bibliography and his presentations have covered topics of functional mapping, awake surgery, malignant tumor surgery, surgical treatments of epilepsy, spinal fixation and instrumentation. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

My dad was first identified with a focal seizure starting at Wheaton Franciscan/ Ascension in Franklin - their ER Staff was incredible. In less than 30 seconds he had a full stroke staff, less than 5 minutes they had a CT on him, less than 45 he was on his way to Froedtert. My dad met Dr. Mueller the following day where he received the news of surgery and he would be awake after receiving both a PET/MRI scan. Dr. Mueller took care of this in a very timely and currently efficient manner, considering surgery was at 7:30 am on the dot and done by 11-11:30 at the four-hour mark we were given the very next day. My dad was released after surgery the following day and today he regained almost full motor skills, to which I was highly impressed all considering it happened this week of the new year. We are meeting with him on Wednesday to hear if the tumor was benign or cancerous but incredibly so he did not cause my dad any harm, pain, or motor loss because the tumor was pressing against the… motor cortex. He was professional and very charismatic. My family has nothing but high thanks and regards for the life he restored to my dad.

Wonderful bedside manner, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable. Puts you at ease during a trying time. He has made my husband's life 100% better. And, his staff is A-mazing. We are very blessed to have these rockstars on our care team.

Dr. Mueller is the best Dr. that I have ever had, and I want to see if I would be able to get my dad in to see him and see what the Dr. can do for him with his Parkinson,s

I appreciate his honesty and integrity. I found Dr Mueller after having a brain tumor removed from another "well known Neurosurgeon" in Milwaukee. It became obvious to me afterwards that all this previous surgeon wanted to do was further surgery, without any justification as to why. Dr. Mueller on the other hand does not make these decisions on his own. His facility uses the team approach to diagnose and treat patients. I wish I would have found him before I let the other guy operate on me..Maybe I wouldn't have permanent nerve damage/pain to live with now.
