Dr. Waguih Sobhy Kirollos, MD

This was my 1st visit. Highly satisfied with everything from front office staff, to nurses, to the doctor. Impressed that I received my discharge instructions in advance of my procedure and I received my pain medication prior to my procedure so it will be there when I get home from the procedure.

From entry to exit the entire space was warm and welcoming. The room and everything in it for the exam was peaceful and had small touches to make it calming.

The doctor and staff are always friendly and I completely trust the medical care and advice I receive.

Changing to a new GYN at my age (71) was not easy , but, Dr. Kirollos made it a very positive experience. His exam was very thorough, so when he found no problems, it put my mind to rest. He took the time to answer any questions and made me feel like he had all the time needed to attend to my exam. So many doctor appointments are rushed and over within a few minutes. Dr. Kirollos did not make me feel rushed at all. He has a very calming nature. His staff were also very helpful , attentive, and professional. I would be comfortable recommending his office to anyone.

I had a bad experience with another GYN doctor, telling me that: "You are at an age where you are going to have pain and there is nothing wrong with you, you will just have to deal with it..." And their office staff treating me like I was a waste of their time. I ended up going out of that doctors office in tears, because my pain was real, I didn't know it's origin, or what could be done about it, and felt humiliated and violated by them. I had a much different experience with Dr. Kirollos and his staff: Kyli, Whitney, Heather, and Nadine. From the first encounter of a phone call to make my appointment right on to leaving after my appointment and making the appointment for further diagnostic studies. I felt so comfortable I made my appointment for my annual exam right then! I was impressed with the cozy comfort of the office waiting room, and then the exam room was warm and inviting, not a harsh bright light institution style room. The procedure I had done was quite… intimidating, but Dr. Kirollos was so gentle, I barely felt any discomfort. He explained to me where the pain I was feeling came from and what to do about it, and then also told me he has to do another diagnostic procedure to determine another twist of a problem inside there, and explained to me what to expect. I felt as if my concern's for my women's health were taken seriously, and not brushed off simply because I'm 61 yrs old, and past child bearing age. Thank you to Dr. Kirollos and everyone of the staff, you put me at ease, and I appreciate this. I also appreciate that your care of me even though I'm not child bearing age, was sincere and genuine. I came to you scared of what I was going to be met with, and left at ease! The trip to Saranac Lake was worth it for my women's health! Dora J. Mose.

I can not say enough great things about this practice. Every single person is so kind, the appointments are kept on time, the atmosphere is calming. I have absolutely never experienced this level of care anywhere else. You are all fantastic, and i am so grateful!

Dr. Kirollos has a reputation of pushing for unnecessary surgeries. My sister experienced this years ago when Dr. K wanted to remove her uterus for a non-cancerous and even non-PRE-cancerous issue. I experienced this myself recently when I went to this doctor simply to get an IUD and he told me I needed an endometrial biopsy and then later proceeded to tell me that my cramps were from endometriosis, when in fact they were from the IUD as I had suspected. He told me, “endometriosis is very common, everyday I see women with this problem. It’s not a big deal, we can just do a small surgery and it will go away.” I decided to get a second opinion and my new doctor told me, “off the record, Dr. Kirollos tells everyone they have endometriosis. He likes to do surgeries.” Furthermore, when Dr. Kirollos was giving me an internal ultrasound, he pushed in a painful spot which made me wince. He then asked if it hurt, I said yes, and then he pushed EVEN HARDER in that same spot on purpose without… saying a word. It hurt so badly I seriously almost fell off the chair. I know this is one of the only OBGYNs in the area, but please remember this review. Don’t be afraid to get a second opinion or tell him no if he suggests a surgery. I heard he also really likes to do C-sections. Best of luck my fellow women. May doctors like this guy be few and far between.

I felt totally relaxed in the atmosphere of the office and the receptive personality and professionalism of both the doctor and nurse.

Dr Kirollos is and EXCELLENT dr and I commend him for being pro life and not placing iuds in ppl who may want children some day as I know they can cause infertility. Good for you Dr Kirollos, that is awesome!

I have only been once, but was amazed at how different the experience with this office was compared to my previous gynecologist. The office itself was comfortable and very clean, the staff was kind and caring and Dr. Kirollos is very kind, professional, and to-the-point. I appreciate all of these qualities in any doctor and their office staff. I will be going back to him from now on and would definitely recommend him to friends and family.
