Dr Wai Chan

I have been a patient of Dr. Chan for many years because of my eczema. I have always been happy with the care I have received, but recently I have had a few bad experiences that have made me question whether I should continue to see her. The first issue is that the doctor has become very rushed. In the past, I would have a 15-minute appointment with the doctor, but now I am lucky if I get 5 minutes with her. The second issue is that the doctor seems to be more interested in making money than in providing quality care. In the past, I would have a skin exam regularly, but now the doctor only wants to talk about my eye bags and wrinkles. She is very pushy and coercive when it comes to treatments. She tried to pressure me into getting a treatment that I didn't want, and she even threatened to drop me as a patient if I didn't comply. I felt very uncomfortable and forced, and I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. In addition, she is very pushy when it comes to getting patients to… write reviews. She asked me to write a review for her multiple times, and she offered to give me free gifts if I did. I felt very pressured and uncomfortable. Overall, I had a very negative experience with this doctor. She is very pushy and coercive, and she does not respect my decisions. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Run! Run away from this doctor. I would give her 0 star if I could. While I don’t have any problem with the front desk, I was treated very rudely by the doctor. She kept interrupting and cutting me off. I was asking about the cream she was prescribing, she raised her voice, told me to be quiet, handed me a tiny piece of paper to read, saying all I need to know is on that paper. Next, she asked me what was written on that tiny paper before I got a chance to read it. She treats people like we are all dumb and stupid. Then she went on saying how bad my face looked, telling me a $1000 treatment would fix it. Is she a doctor or saleswoman? She seems to be more interested in getting money out of my pocket and getting me out of the office than listening to my concerns and questions. If you enjoy being yelled at and talked down to, this is the place to go. If not, run away!

Over the years I had a wonderful dermatologist who retired. It took me a while to find another one I felt good and comfortable with. Doctor Chan is a exceptional, professional, caring and kind thoughtful doctor . I felt soooo.... much better after my visit with her. She was completely thorough with asking the right questions and choosing the best course of treatment. Today I finally feel hopeful. Thank you Dr. Chan  Songa

Bad experience. Before I went to there, they said the consulting fee can be deducted from the treatment fee. But after I went there, they said I need to pay consulting fee plus treatment fee separately and I have paid the consulting fee. I would not go again. It is a dishonest business
