Dr. Wallace Royce Nelms JR., MD

Don't go here unless you want to be berated about your voting. This doctor berated my mother, a long time patient, at a recent appointment. He asked her who she was voting for and then berated her for her choice. What a joke this guy is.

Dr. Nelms gives it to you straight, tells it like it is. If you listen to him he will keep you healthy. I trust him completely. Rick Eatmon

I am an obese person who realizes the health consequences, and am wanting to take the steps to change this. I went to Dr. Nelms and he looked at me like I was less than nothing. He barked out "do Atkins" and that was that. I have since moved on to a new doctor. I called to get my medical file from this office, and they want to charge $35 dollars! I explained that it is a small file and they would not listen. Further, they must have you appear in person. I have moved away from the Wilson area, a personal visit is impossible. All around poor service to me.

When this doctor sees women, I get the impression that they all fall into one category in his mind. That category is one of a complaining old lady. He does not really listen to anything you say. He looks at lab numbers, which is good, but he doesn't take the time to really understand how you feel. His office staff is not professional and they conduct personal conversations loudly all the time. A patient's comments are interruptions to them when they are trying to exchange personal information among themselves. They make mistakes on charts and sometimes call you two and three times by mistake.

I was a patient. Had to seek another physician, because Dr. Nelms wouldn't take the time to listen to my symptoms. It turned out that I had gallstones and had to have my gall bladder removed. Feel better today than I've felt in years, no thanks to Dr. Nelms.
