Dr. Walter P Harris, MD

As a first time patient, I was not impressed. Waited 1 full hour to be seen, and other patients who arrived after me, were greeted and seen before me. Found Dr. Harris to be extremely impersonal, never introduced himself upon entering the exam room. His demeanor was flat, and performed his exams as if he was extremely bored and it was his routine. I think it’s time for retirement for this one.

Dr. Harris. Is a very very good eye dr. The staff washelpful in what was needed for u. I am sorry that i had to move so far away. To those who don't know him try him. He is a ver very good dr. He did both of my eyes. May he go into higher heights. Bless u Dr.Harris and staff

It is extremely important on first impression, that the scheduler/front desk person be courteous,polite and engaging! The person I spoke to today, unfortunately was none of the above. This experience will not prevent me from continuing to see Dr. Harris as my ophthalmologist because he is excellent and patient. However, if I were a new patient based on my experience with the staff scheduler today, I would find another doctor.

Dr. Harris is an expert in his field. He gives quality care, answers all questions and takes as much time as is needed with each patient. I had lasik surgery performed by Dr. Harris a few years ago and am still very pleased. I always refer many friends to Dr. Harris and his friendly staff.

Dr. Harris is awesome. Only time I ever had to wait was when they squeezed me in for an emergency situation. Dr. Harris explains everything, and takes the time to answer any questions I may have, in layman's terms. I recommend him to anyone. Thank you.

Dr. Harris did a wonderful job on all my procedures as well his staff. He is very precise and makes sure eberything he does is the best! I would recommend Dr. Harris to everyone!

i just sent a glowing review re. my visit but sent it without seeing a place to mention not just the exceptional care and manner of Dr. Ortiz, but also the exceptional care and competence of your staff, in particular Sheneese Thompson. I came in with an injury and, since i already am under Dr. Harris' care, i came assuming that i didnt need a referral from my primary. Ms. Thompson recognized the need for same, dropped the other work that she was doing and immediately called my primary. She apparently got someone on the line who wasnt familiar with what needed to be done, and patiently directed that person through the process, so that within minutes i had the referral i'd neglected to bring. Efficient to the nth degree. In the process, she certainly saved me at least a huge back-end/after visit tussle with my primary medical provider, and perhaps even hundreds of dollars. The nurse (?) who brought me back to the examining room and did the initial, pre-Dr. Ortiz exam, whose name… unfortunately i don't know but who has cared for me in the past as well, also demonstrated remarkable knowledge and concern. (She drives an old Hyundai and wears eyeglasses.) Bottom line, thank you all for a great medical experience.

I am a new patient and my visit was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff, with prompt service.

While Dr. Harris has become quite a bit more popular (appropriately so) since I began using his expertise over 12 years ago, I have found him to be comprehensive, knowledgeable, and personable.

As a result of Dr. Harris' wonderful skill, and supportive office staff, for the first time since 1st grade, I can read a book, work on my computer, drive a car without any glasses of contacts. He is fabulous, the recovery time is fast. Dr. Harris diagnosed my cataracts, scheduled surgery and performed the operations quickly, He also took care of my glaucoma. Dr. Harris has always taken the time to answer any questions I have, and explain to me exactly what is going on. The thing that makes this so absolutely fabulous is the professional, courteous and friendly support staff Dr. Harris has in his office. I recommend him to any/everyone who is in need of an eye doctor.
