Dr. Walter Brice Kuhl, MD

Dr. Kuhl was our pediatrician in 1986-1992. While there were times we waited a bit, I never minded because I knew he would give us his full attention and all the time we needed without making us feel rushed. He also did his best to work us in when there was a need. We have lived in 3 different cities since we left the Austin area and never did find a pediatrician who came close! Highly recommend!!!!

Doctors don't come much better than Dr. Kuhl. He has been our family pediatrician since 1998. He has guided us through numerous issues. He is sincere, kind, and easy to talk to. He does not hesitate to make appropriate referrals. Dr. Kuhl's assesments have always been spot on. He's a great physician!

I have a hard time trusting physicians but this doctor has really helped to restore my faith. His bedside manner is amazing, he answers any and all questions I've ever had, he will even personally return phone calls with serious concerns, AMAZING! Not only do I respect him but his peers give him nothing but rave reviews also.

I lived in San Antonio my eldest Daughter's 1st year of life in 1984. I asked around if anyone could recommend a pediatrician in Austin since I had just moved here. A grandmother told me her granddaughter saw Walter Kuhl and that they loved him. So I made an appointment to interview him to see if I liked him too.He was SO patient and wonderful, he wasn't offended by any question I asked about his practice or parenting belief system. And I asked him EVERYTHING from what his procedures were from the time babies were born, nursing from birth until toddler,diet,health and parenting in general. He answered every question, took his time to make sure he answered them all and never made me feel rushed or incompetent! I immediately made him our pediatrician on our medical insurance and decided we were going to have a long relationship together. And we have; my eldest daughter is now almost 26 and has 3 siblings, my youngets is 17 so he is STILL our pediatrican! Dr. Kuhl has been the other three… childrens' pediatrician since birth! I'm a "la leche league queen", used cloth diapers and made there baby food with a processor using all organic fresh foods. And Dr. Kuhl was so supportive all along, even when I nursed my 19 yr old until she was age 4! He NEVER judged or made sure to tell me my parenting was awesome. He always told me I was a good mother and supported me in everything and advised me when I asked for advice. He was SO supportive when my younger daughter was born, one of the neonatal nurses accidently gave her an "artificial" nipple and he laid into that nurse so hard that she was in tears. He felt so strong about the importance of nursing and ensuring newborns had a great start from birth just like me. He was afraid since she had the artificial nipple she wouldn't be succesful nursing since it was so easy for her to feed from a bottle. Thank goodness we got through it and she ended up nursing full time the entire first year of her life! I've written a "book"here, I can't say enough good things about Dr.Kuhl from his practice to parenting and friendship. He has been an invaluable "member" of our family for almost 25 years! He's been a greatv friend, pediatrician and counselor to me as well as my children.....
