Dr. Waqas Sohail, MD

Dr. Sohail was wonderful to deal with. He took the time to sit with me and ask me about my symptoms As he was doing testing, he would tell me what was coming and continued to ask me if I was doing OK. I would recommend Dr. Sohail. He was very kind, concerned, and professional.

I went in for a chronic leg pain issue which I have had for years but it was progressively worsened. My family doctor referred me. Dr Sohail first blamed my leg pain on my allergy medication. When I explained I’ve only been taking allergy meds for a few months he then explained that tests I have had in the past were normal, therefore I must have some deep inner secret from my past I am suppressing which is causing my symptoms. I was very offended by him saying that. First off, he doesn’t know me. This was my first time seeing him. Secondly, he didn’t even do what I would consider a physical exam. He didn’t watch me walk or anything (with this being an issue with my legs). He just talked to me briefly. I am an honest person. I don’t surpressed any deep dark secrets from my past and the fact that a doctor would say that to me I found very offensive. I didn’t go to see a shrink, I wanted my leg pain to be evaluated by a neurologist. I won’t be going back to this arrogant doctor again,… ever.

Dr Sohail and his team are amazing. They were quick to get me correctly diagnosed and when I had concerns about treatment, Dr Sohail found alternative options for me. If I ever need any help they are always a call away and answer promptly. If I have any questions, they will explain things for me.

This doctor is terrible. Please save yourself the time and consider all the reviews here before subjecting yourself to his malice. Lied and said he read previous MRI report. I asked to show him the report and he declined to view it as “it wouldn’t matter what the previous report said.” Communicated very poorly. Did not ask me anything pertaining to my symptoms. He was condescending and offensive. Contradicted himself multiple times. Gave his “medical” opinion without even doing a proper exam. Information he did provide was grossly incorrect. His negligent patient “treatment” is driven by a preconceived bias toward patients with documented depression or anxiety. Despite abnormal MRI findings indicative of demyelination/MS, he argued this was purely psychological. His treatment of patients is a driving force behind the mental health stigma and a perfect example of what is lacking in the medical community in this area.

Extremely minimal physical exam. Seems to want to practice psychiatry instead of neurology. 3 month wait for this appointment, horrible in every way!
