I personally knew 4 of his other patients he treated at different points in time who he also diagnosed with borderline personality disorder just by bringing it up, pulling up Wikipedia on his phone and reading the symptoms. Also said to ALL FIVE of us individually and during more than one session, "If you were me, what would you tell yourself?". Also laughs at your problems. Look elsewhere if you want to recover from mental illness or addiction.

Dr. Christianson is smart, kind and helped me when nobody else acted like they cared. He saved my life. Thank you!

Be careful what you reveal to this Dr and first obtain a confidentiality agreement with him , his staff or social workers before you discuss the patients background and history. He will manipulate you and then tell the patient and blame you for their hospitaliztion.He betrays your confidential conversations and exposes it to the patient so he is the good guy and you are the bad guy.Of course you want your loved one to be there but he has you take the blame so the patient will trust him and not you.

Really cares about his patients, smart and up-to-date.

I won't go into detail about all of the issues that I was dealing with at the time when I first met Dr. Christianson. But I can say after only a couple of months, I feel like an entirely different person. Years of repression were no match for the doc's intuitive nature. I never thought I'd be able to be this happy. Dr. C let me know that not only was my happiness possible, it was deservedly mine.I can't recommend this man enough. Dr. C, if you're reading: thank you for saving my life.
