Dr. Warren Finkelstein, MD

After 2 years of severe issues and visiting 4 other Gastroenterologist in both NY and NJ, I was recommended to Dr. Finkelstein - This was a new beginning for me. Dr. Finkelstein took a very personal approach to my issues and was able to identify and get me on a program that now has me 100% in remission. In addition to being an excellent Dr, his dedication to his patients put him at the top of his field.

He is the absolute best, he has saved my quality of life. He is truly a great physician.

DR. Finkelstein and his office not only treated me well as a patient but also as a person, as well as my family since my illness had a direct effect on them. I am sorry that I no longer see him as I moved out of the area. He is truly 1 in a million.

The office staff is the worst...

We saw Dr. Finkelstein after my husband was sick with colitis for weeks. He had seen another specialist who made a presumptive diagnosis, but didn't really do anything but prescribe a medication and tell us to return in a month. When we saw Dr. Finkelstein, everything was different. He was kind, caring and thorough. He gave us information, a plan to follow, and made himself accessible to us if we had any questions or problems. We went from being scared and bewildered, to feeling in control and taken care of. We have seen him many times since and we continue to have that same experience. He is an extremely busy man, but we never feel unheard or rushed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Finklestein's for 35 years. When I was 23 years old I became very ill, and the many doctors I visited could not diagnose my illness. I was told it was either a stomach "bug" or the flu, but each day I became more sick until I was hospitalized on Christmas Day. Despite undergoing emergency surgery the doctors still couldn't determine the nature of my illness. Dr. Finklestein heard of my case and diagnosed me promptly as having Crohn's Disease. He began treating me immediately for my disease and two weeks later I was able to return home. Dr. Finklestein saved my life that Christmas Day, helped me control my disease during my pregnancies, and is still treating me and now my daughter with the same compassion and caring as he had so many years ago. You will never find a doctor more knowledgeable and passionate about his patients. If there were a way to give him more than four stars, I would!

This doctor is very caring and professional. He has helped me get through some very stressful and tough times with my Ulcerative Colitis. He is supportive and pleasant to visit. I would definately reccomend him !!

Dr. Finklestein is a marvelous doctor. I was diagnosed with severe, diffuse ulcerative colitis almost two years ago. His knowledge of the disease is deep, and when he speaks to you, you feel his passion for his branch of medicine. He is willing to work with you in regards to treatment options and his bedside manner is calm and caring. I would recommend him without hesitation, and have, to anyone with IBD or related illness.

Dr Finkelstein has been treating me for 10 years now. My Crohn's would not be in remission if I didn't have Dr. Finkelstein as my doctor!
