This office is horrible! If you want a Dr who will take the time to listen to your concerns, so that they know exactly what to test and look for then do not come to Dr. Warren Johnston, as it seems he has a protocol of 2 min with each patient, and will give everyone a stress echo and hear monitor regardless of their symptoms. I had to schedule a follow up visit, 2 months in advance, and go figure, I was running 5 min late, so I had my husband call the office while I was driving. My husband mind you was at work, but stayed on the phone for over 30 min and finally, someone answered. He let them know that I thought I was running late but turned out that I was in the building 5 min late. The girl at the desk told my husband, that dr Johnston has over 1000 patients a day to see to and being 5 min late I’d have to schedule for another time to come in and see the doctor. I couldn’t believe the response my husband gave me and if the doctors office would do their job and pick up the phone, then… I wouldn’t have waisted an hour driving all the way here to be 5 min late. I spoke to the head manager and they said that the doctor directly refused to see me because of the 5 minute delay. To me this is not ok. Especially, when the doctor gave me a ekg, and stress echo and I received the results, and I have regurgitation in 3 valves and it states that I have an enlarged heart. He even put 2 new diagnosis’s on my chart, one being mitral valve prolapse, and seriously, he couldn’t give me another appointment with 2 min of his time to clarify what was going on with my heart? After arguing with the front desk for about 20 mins, they let me see his medical assistant, who stated everything on the test is normal, even though it states regurgitation and enlarged heart, she said that an exg is not reliable and don’t worry about the diagnosis’s that the doctor gave me as she took them off my medical record. So, would you feel comfortable going to this doctor if that happened to you? Honestly I have had bad luck with every st Joseph dr I have seen and this just tops it off. Make the extra drive to either hoag, uci as it’s not worth going to a doctor and have them treat you this way, when all you want is help. These doctors just care about getting paid, and now, because of him, I need to make an appointment with a brand new heart doctor to re-evaluate what he didn’t do, and really see if I do infact have an enlargement of the heart, as I don’t understand how a twst can come back saying something is wrong, and then the dr places a new diagnosis on my record, and then his medical assistant states that the test was wrong and it’s never right, and they don’t even want to investigate. So, I will soon see who is right here, the doctor, or the test, as I was in a coma 2 years back and that’s why I initially went to see him in the first place due to a enlarged heart, so if it’s been enlarged this entire time in fact, and the doctor has don’t nothing to treat it or prevent it from coming back, then their will be some serious issues here that will later need to be addressed. Seriously, take it from me, get a doctor who actually cares about his patients, or at least acts like he cares and give you the time of day to express what symptoms you are having. Also ensure that the front office is present to deal with, as from what I have learned, is that a front office behavior, is a good indicator of how the doctor was will be l, and waiting for 30 min when they prob have over 30 people working in the office is just a waste of my time and clearly shows, they don’t give a crap about their patients time, or health.
