Dr. Warren Murray JR., MD

Why has Dr. Murray always had openings for new patients since he had been in New Bern when most other doctors do not? The only good I can say about him is he has a nice smile.

Can't say enough great about Dr Murray!

My husband and I went to Dr. Murray for 15 years. We should have left him much earlier. He presents a pleasant, kind bedside manner, but only for well-patient visits. If there is something wrong he has no idea what to do. I told him I thought I had pneumonia and he told me to come back in four days. I immediately went to Urgent Care and I DID have pneumonia. After an auto accident, he refused to see me telling me to go to Urgent Care. My husband was in a nursing home for eight months and he never once went by to check on him. He was of no use to us in any way. He sits, smiles and talks and that is all. I have since gone to a fine doctor who has changed my prescriptions and helped me in every way. Dr. Murray is a nice man, but that is all I can say about him.

After moving to Florida and trying new doctors, we really miss Dr. Murray. As you can see we rated him excellent in all aspects. He really cared, and took extra measures to try to keep us healthy.

This is a great DR. He refers a bunch of things however, his referrals actually lead to a timely and accurate diagnosis. Good Doctor!

Pro-active, pragmatic, empathetic,kind.

Dr. Murray is wonderful. He is a great listener and actually cares about what is going on with patients. He is very kind and personable and accurate with his medical diagnoses and treatment. He is not in my insurance's network however, I gladly continue to pay the difference for the peace of mind I have with him as my primary care physician.

New to area, New Bern, NC. Welcome wagon lady gave us a card with 2 doctors accepting new patients and said both were excellent. I made appt with Dr. Murray. I felt that most of my health concerns were not addressed, age 57 and having some heart issues and have a constant cough, but was told I should come back in a year. Also, was told to see another doctor for a pap and she said Dr Murray had done everything for her, so she came in the room, took a pap and said "see you next year". Now, we find it nearly impossible to get out of their medical system. They don't want you to see another doctor in this area (New Bern, NC) once you have visited a doctor they seem territorial, as if they own you. When you try to make an appt with anopther doctor you are told you are a patient of so and so and therefore can't make an appt with a differnt doctor. Medical care here is difficult to access. Will have to go to Greenville, about an hour away, though the medical care there appears excellent due to… the medical school.
