Dr. Warren Jay Steinmuller, MD

Really helped my young adult daughter deal with anxiety & depression. She is back to her old self.

"Dr" Steinmuller is rude. He is abrupt and supercilious. Yuck. Terribly grating accent. He is dismissive and belittling. He is distracted. He "has no time for that" - including a great variety of things he has no time for. Terrible verbal communication "skills" and style. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON. Especially NOT for any emotional, psychological, psychiatric, or other real needs. In addition he apparently is on the disability dole and is apparently doing that for the cash - why? does he not have enough patients? if not, wonder why? could it be that he acts like a yankee jerk? Yes for some of us that IS the reason. Why didn't you stick with Chemistry and stay away from people "Dr" W?

I went to Dr Steinmuller regarding my social anxiety. I had put off doing anything about it for 20 years. I admit, I was uncomfortable at first. Then again, I did have social anxiety. With Dr Steinmuller's help, I have changed my life. I met with him once a week to start, then backed off to once every two weeks. We talked about everything. He was not judgmental, and neither was I. It was actually like brainstorming sessions, trying to figure out the problems, then coming up with ideas to help overcome them. I admit I was skeptical that anything or anyone could help. But we both worked together, and dug into the past, the present and the future. He gave me tools to use anytime I start feeling anxious, or uncomfortable. It was been 6 years since I first went to Dr Steinmuller, and I still use the things we talked about, and likely always will. I definitely recommend Dr Steinmuller. But he's not a miracle worker....YOU have to work, too. Thanks, Doctor!

My family member went for psychotherapy with Dr. Steinmuller. He was very thorough in his evaluation. He was caring and did his best. He was willing to be straightforward, some might see it as blunt, but sometimes that is needed. While my relative did not make the most use of the therapy at the time, years later he is able to use and remember what he learned in therapy then and frequently mentions how this doctor helped him.

I saw this Dr and was extremely disappointed. He made me feel uncomfortable. He was very judgmental and surprisingly rude. Before I could explain my issues, he jumped to conclusions that were incorrect. I am sure that was due to the fact he was barely listening and not putting much thought into what I said at all. He was bitter and and he seemed to have anger issues himself. I gave it a couple chances, and it turned out to be a waste of money.
