Dr. Wayne Wadell Ingram, MD

I was newly married and had never been to a gynecologist. My new husband and I were trying to conceive. Dr Ingram detected tumors and scheduled me for surgery. I was terrified and did not know what expect. He assured me everything was going to be fine and handled me with care. Recovery was a snap and three months later I was pregnant. Thank you Dr Ingram

When I called to schedule an appointment, Dr. Ingram himself told me twice (with emphasis) that I would be seen on time. I was coming from work, arrived on time, and after 25 minutes of waiting, I had to leave. Typically, I expect to have to wait to see a doctor, but after he was so adamant that I would be seen on time, 25 minutes was over the top. I also requested to be phoned to confirm that my information was removed from their system, and I had to call them 20 minutes before closing to confirm myself. Before I left the receptionist was very polite and the environment was nice.

Dr. Ingram has been my mother's doctor for over 30 years and actually delivered me in 1981! I have been seeing him since I was a teenager and he has been wonderful. Very caring, always willing to answer questions, and helps ease any concerns. I moved away from Austin, but still go to him...I can't stand the thought of finding another Dr. My only complaint with his office is one of his nurses who helps schedule appts. Once I am there for the appt. she is great!

After enduring two years of debilitating menstrual cramps, I decided to find a new gynecologist. I interviewed several doctors and felt Dr. Ingram was the right match after my initial consultation with him. He does indeed have a good bedside manner, but that is about the only positive thing I can say about him. After ruling several things out, Dr. Ingram recommended a laparoscopy to look for endometriosis. I made a point of noting in all my pre surgery paperwork that I had had back surgery the year prior. The day after this surgery I was quite alarmed when I started experiencing extreme back pain. I called Dr. Ingram's office and when he called me back, I was informed that I had "slipped" on the operating table and that I should take some aspirin. His choice of words made it sound as though it was not his fault. When I mentioned the back surgery, he fumbled and tried to make it sound as though it was something that was taken into consideration during the entire procedure. It… didn't settle well, so I requested copies of the notes from the operating room and learned that I had been dropped while under anesthetic! I was furious for the lack of responsibility taken by Dr. Ingram. I had a final consultation with him to find out if I had endometriosis (which I did not) and then promptly got my records and never returned. He may be nice, but he is not a skilled professional.
