As former Assistant Chief of the Department of Oral Surgery/Dentistry at Kent Hospital, his invaluable experience is unequaled. Company Profile
Dr. Mollohan has been providing high quality dental care to the Kent County and surrounding areas of Rhode Island for 32 years.  He is a Graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Tufts School of Dental Medicine.  Has Served as Secretary, Treasure, Vice-President and President of the Kent County Dental Society.  He served as a Delegate for the Rhode Island Dental Association. As a staff member of Kent County Memorial Hospital  for many years, he served  as the Assistant Chief in the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery.  Dr. Mollohan is a dedicated General and Family Dentist, skillfully providing many types of services to his patients. Some of the treatments routinely provided  include Crowns, Root Canals, Periodontal (gum) treatments, Teeth Whitening and Cosmetic procedures. He keeps up to date on cosmetic procedures and can even show you your new smile before any treatment starts.
We have a dedicated Staff to help you.  Debbie our office manager and practice director, along with Lynda, are experts  in helping you obtain the maximum benefit to which you are entitled by your Dental Benefit Plan.  Kristen, our hygienist is extremely gentle and thorough. She is highly skilled in the latest developments in preventive care.  Amanda, our certified assistant, is trained to make you comfortable throughout your entire visit.  Patients are always praising and raving about our team members!
Recently our entire staff completed courses to become certified by Ora-Pharma Care, a division of Johnson and Johnson, in the use of Arestin to treat and manage periodontal disease.  Seventy five percent of the adult population has some form of this chronic disease.  We are dedicated to educating and treating patients dental needs with expert care, as our goal is to improve your overall health.  Recent studies have linked periodontal disease with  heart disease, stroke, low birth weight and premature babies, diabetes, osteoporosis, and increases in C-reactive protein.  If you have ever experienced any of these, and have gums that bleed you may have periodontal disease and should be checked for active infections.  While it is not curable condition, we can absolutely help you manage this and possibly improve your overall health. 
Our practice has zero tolerance for bleeding gums, decayed teeth and pain!
