Dr. Guo restored my faith in medical providers after a year long battle with abdominal abscess, infection and a recurrent ventral hernia that I developed after spinal fusion surgery. He answered my questions honestly and truly understood my fears and apprehension after all I had experienced leading up to meeting him. I had traveled to Cleveland Clinic fearing that no one locally could successfully repair my stomach, I was wrong. I was also reassured to learn that Dr. Guo knew and had worked with the chief hernia surgeon who is at Cleveland Clinic. My surgery lasted 6 hours and, in that time, I know Dr Guo kept his promise to me to "do his best". He is smart, compassionate and invested in his patients care and recovery; I would highly recommend him to anyone needing complex abdominal hernia repair.

I arrived at ECMC with catastrophic injuries, spent weeks on a ventilator and was not expected to live. Dr. Guo performed numerous live-saving surgeries and procedures. I had horrific, disfiguring abdominal injuries, destroyed GI tract and infections. Dr. Guo performed a six hour long complete abdominal reconstruction, leaving me with only one thin vertical scar. The before and after pictures are extraordinary. Dr. Guo is professional, insightful, kind and compassionate. I cannot say enough good things about him or recommend him highly enough.
