Would highly recommend. Dr. Sparling and nurse practitioner Corinna are a great team and both have excellent knowledge, very personable and caring.

Love all the attention they pay you at the apt. I never feel as though she is not listening. Can talk about anything.

collects co-pays for labs & does not bill the insurance company because the insurance company pays less than the co-pay which I've been told is against insurance policy.. Will not discuss more than one problem per visit. Never follows up.. Staff is unfriendly..does not return messages in a timely manner..

I had been a patient of Dr Sparling for at least 12 years. Started back in the day when she started in New Albany. I continued with her when she moved to Sunbury and opened her own practice in her somewhat runned down house/office. In the beginning I thought she was a wonderful, soft spoke compassionate person. My opinion has STRONGLY changed. Over the last several years I have noticed the lack of caring and personal attention of her office. Recently they schedule my daughter for a follow-up visit for a shot and prescription and when she went to the appointment they only gave her the shot and said they did not have a doctor to write the prescription so she would need to come back (and pay another co-pay of course). They have also told me that I would have to make additional appointments for small issues. If I was in and would soon be needing a prescription refill (for a medication I have been on for 13 years) I would have to make another appointment, there again for another… co-pay. I recently was involved in a accident the day before I had a scheduled appointment for some pre admission testing. When I started to feel badly that day with very high fever, aches, muscle pain, nausea and diarrhea I decided not to go to the emergency room because I have a doctor and would be seeing her later that day anyway. Well it does not work like that with Dr Sparling. She refused to look at or consider any of my other symptoms if I still wanted the pre admission testing. She said I need two appointments. I explained to her I work 2 jobs and this was their only late night and I really needed the testing now in time for the surgery AND for her to look at my recent symptoms. She did not care and honestly her lack of compassion brought me to tears. I was not trying to jipe her out of a office visit or any money. I honestly felt to ill to drive myself to the urgent care at this point. I felt she could have upgraded her office call BUT that would not have given her another co-pay. She actually told me that everyone does this and if she didn't she would go under (really my $20.00 was gonna cause her business to fail) I felt so betrayed that after 12 years she did not have care enough about me to check and see if it was food poison, flu or more serious results of the accident.They also referred me out for some testing weeks prior and never bothered to call me with the results. I had to ask at that visit. They must be to busy for that or realized that calling me does not make them any money.I also find her male nurse very unprofessional. After taking my temperature he left the room and I could hear him complaining to the doctors husband how irritated he was I was sick (as if I had planned it). Then he put on a mask and gloves before continuing with my pre admission testing because my fever was so high. At that time I wanted nothing more then for someday Dr Spraling and her staff to experience the same lack of compassion and unprofessionalism that I did but honestly I can't wish that on them because no should feel so unworthy and uncared-for for in such a trying time. All I can say is please take you money and your loved ones somewhere else because the soft spoken doctor cares much more about her paycheck then she does about your or your loved ones. she has lost her compassion and ability to be a decent human being. When I let her know that I couldn't believe the way she was treating her patients and maybe I should look for another doctor her response was simply "if you think that would be a better fit you should". I mean she does have over 6000 patients so why should I (or you) matter.

I was really stressed out with some severe health problems my first visit and everyone was very nice and helpful and understanding. That was 4 months ago and I think Dr. Spaurling and her staff pulled me through difficult times and got me healthy again.
