Dr. Wendy Sue Thompson, MD

Excellent care, easy to talk to, very straightforward

I have been with Dr Thompson for many years and like her but Nicole, the so called nurse is beyond professional and must have her hands in the drug closet . She can't call in the right meds or not call them in at all, no return calls, let's you go for days without maintenance meds, ignores emails on the portal and then doesn't forward to dr. Have told Thompson but still the same . Maybe after filing a complaint with department of health for patient neglect she will wake up . Apparently dr Thompson doesn't care .

Dr. Wendy Thompson is an exception physician. Very knowledgeable and caring. However, her front-of-the-house staff is hopeless. I was told I had a balance when I came for one of my appointments. Because of the type of insurance I have I should never have a balance that I'm responsible for. I pay my copay each time I'm seen. I've been receiving erroneous bills for a visit last year. I keep being told that the person that handles that (N.) will call me back. N. never calls me back. The receptionist says, "well it hasn't gone to Collections yet, right?" I told her that "it better not." I don't understand why such a great doctor would risk losing patients because of a trifling, uncooperative, lazy staff.

My grandson is 13 now and Dr. Thompson has been his pediatrician since birth. She has taken him from diaper rash through the difficulties of adolescence. Wendy is a wonderful doctor and a warm and friendly person. She and her staff are always looking out for us. I don't know what we would have done without her guidance over the years. She is always on top of the latest medical information. And she always listens to me and to my grandson.

Dr. Thompson is always awesome for me and my family. But her staff on the other hand is lazy they find any excuse not to work for the patient we can't even receive a detailed bill so they can be paid somebody should remind them they are nothing without the patient. I will be finding another care provider very soon.

My family refers to her as our Angel On Earth. She has always gone over and above to seek out information to meet our family members medical needs.

I saw Dr. Thompson for many years. I even had my whole family and many friends switch to use her. Well, then everything went down hill. After several severe mistakes made by her office staff I expressed my concern for the danger they are causing to her patients and found another doctor. While Thompson her self is a very good Dr., you have to have staff that can support your practice. The practice made it sound like I was the only one having problems, but after reading these posts I know that I made the right decision for my family.

i have never waited for an appointment for three+ months and then be told I could only discuss one issue during an annual physical! Id have to make additional appointments (2 or more months later) to discuss any other problems! No follow-up calls, you can't get copies of test/lab results, and I have left mad each time I've gone. Maybe if they weren't so focused on their side business they could actually take care of their patients. Even my insurance company s I should choose another doctor. unprofessional and extremely unhelpful staff.

I have only visited Dr. Thompson's office about 3 or 4 times. She was recommended to me because the wait time was very minimum (15 minutes). However, most of the time it was about 30 minutes, except for once it was 1.5 hours, and only explanation I received from the office assistant was that it shouldn't be any longer. When I finally saw Dr. Thompson, I explained my frustration. She apologized and said she had an emergency surgery. However, her staff didn't relay to me that she wasn't in and didn't know when she would be back. If I had been told, I could have made the choice to reschedule. After that time, I had an unforeseen emergency and arrived 10 minutes late and the office assistant said I couldn't be seen because I was late. She nor the office manager would back down on their "non-tolerance for lateness" policy by saying that was how Dr. Thompson feels, yet wouldn't allow me to talk with her and wouldn't take a message because she doesn't return calls to patients. Plus the staff… turnaround time in calling in prescriptions for me the first time took 3 days. Needless to say, I have switched physician.

This woman agreed to provide me with perscriptions while I was in her office for a 6 month med check. I left and went home thinking everything was fine and found out later that she went back on all conversations she had with me in the room. I do not know what her "deal" is but something is wrong with this kind of service. I have also noticed that she is not able to keep anyone in her office who is qualified or nice. My personal opinion is something is just not right over there. I used to love talking with Jennifer, the nurse, and she is now gone. Dealing with Nicole is no fun at all. She does not call back when she sais she is going to do so and when she does finally call you days later it is usually too late.
