Dr. Wendy Leigh Woods-Swafford, MD

Dr. Woods is an amazing doctor and human being. My daughter was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia one week before her ninth birthday. This is every parents worst nightmare. She treated my daughter and entire family with compassion, respect and cutting edge treatments. She always looked for options and overcame multiple obstacles during her chemotherapy when other doctors would not. My daughter had multiple complications during her two and half years of chemotherapy and Dr. Woods always made us a priority and looked for ways to make my daughter more comfortable during this process. Dr. Woods is not only highly educated in pediatric oncology she demonstrates caring with every patient and family member. She works tirelessly to treat each child not just the disease. I have worked with a great many doctors over the years and I have never met a better one than Dr. Wendy Woods Swafford. She is a gift to the Blank Hospital and a hero to our family.
