Im sure Dr Carrion helped many, but he ruined my life and left me disfigured and scarred beyond what had already happened to me in a car accident. He damaged my bones beyond what a car had already done and is responsible and (always will be) for telling my mother and I, when I was 9 years old to go buy roller-skates.. after sticking pins into my leg, treating me and months with metal rods sticking out of my leg... and I even got to “pull one out myself” on the final day… I went to my follow up treatments and he did tons of X-rays and said I was “healed” and even told my mother to go buy me rollerblades.... I wasn't healed at all, the procedure wasn't a success and my leg was still broken. I at 9 years old was walking around on a broken leg, suffering in anguish with broken jagged bones rubbing against one another for a year. I had what looked like a second knee on my shin… because.. Dr. Carrion, my doctor at the time said I was good to go roller blading.

Whenever we saw Dr. Carrion, we would always have to ask his staff what kind of mood he was in. Sometimes he would be decent and talk in detail about what to do, sometimes he would barely speak. For a pediatric doctor, he is the absolute pits when it comes to bedside manner. Why did he go into pediatrics if he doesn’t speak kindly to children??? He treated my child for a foot injury, gave her a letter saying no activity. When we returned for follow up visit, he asked my child what he was “doing in terms of physical activity to help” the foot? Well, he said no activity, but now he wants to know what activity was done to help? He also asked if my child was taking the medicine for the foot. I said you never prescribed a medicine. He didn’t respond, just looked at the file. He then asked my child another question. My other child, 7 years old, went to answer instead. Well, Dr. carrion turned to my 7 year old, pointed at him and said , “You. Shut it.” I then told him he could not speak to my… children like that, that his mood swings were not tolerable, that we respected the work he did in the field and in war torn countries, but that he cannot speak to children like that. Dr. Carrion decided to send a certified letter to us, telling us to go elsewhere. No apology, no introspection, nothing along those lines. He chose to a childish and unprofessional course of action instead. Unless you must see him in an ER situation, do not choose to go to this man.

Dr. Wesley Carrion agreed to do a limb length discrepancy surgery. Any and all questions were answered before I even knew to ask them. I went in, and out with no known complications. This surgery has changed my life! Thank you Dr. Carrion.

Dr Carrion failed my daughter by misdiagnosing her after a post op surgery injury. He preformed the surgery and failed to tell us he was being deployed to the army shortly after . We never saw him again until almost a year after.. He not only let her suffer with tremendous pain he also mislead us to believe that she needed orthodics made for her. after several pairs and much pain caused by them did I seek another opinion. Upon the second finding they discovered that not only did the surgery with Dr Carrion leave a tremendous amount of scar tissue and pain he couldn't tell us why other then wanting her to have orthodics made. We had several pairs made as they were never correct . He never took Xray's, MRI or Cat Scan to determine why she was in so much pain. If he did he would have seen bone fragments left in her foot after the post op injury. He would have seen that her Achilles tendon was so tight that orthodics would have never been the proper solution to her pain. Dr Carrion… takes on way to many patients to have a decent amount of time with them. He treats you as if you too were in the Military. We are not just a number but a young women asking for his so called expertise.

I am a nurse for the developmentally disabled for IGHL and one of the patients he sees live in my house. He has done an amazing job with the surgery for this patient . Bed side manner is wonderful .I highly recommend Dr. carrion

Great doctor

Dr. Carrion performed four back surgeries on me as a 16 and 17 year old kid to repair my broken spine. He enabled me to play my senior year of soccer season while having hardware in my back. I have absolutely ZERO pain in my back since the surgeries. I have NEVER heard a single bad word said about this man. Dr. Carrion is in the Army Reserves. He was on getting ready to be shipped off to Afghanistan within a hour or two. I was the hospital for constipation post surgery and he was on the phone calling the doctors and guiding them on how to handle this situation. He called my mom and gave her his personal number to contact him if anything went wrong and to keep him updated while he was on his way to Afghanistan to help many more people. I have been absolutely blessed to have had Dr. Carrion take care of me.

My daughter lost her grip at the monkey bars and landed on her elbow, breaking her radius' end and dislocating the elbow. She was treated in emergency at Beth Israel in NYC. They could not restore the alignment of the bones, plus the next day the arm was swollen and she was running a fever. Our pediatrician helped us obtaining an appointment with dr. Carrion. Dr. Carrion managed to perform a reduction almost 48 hours after the fracture. His staff was not only courteous and reassuring for both of us, but also very knowledgeable. They explained and encouraged us with all the physical therapy. She recovered her full range of motion.

When I was 11 years old, I broke my lumbar 3,4,and 5 in a automobile accident. Mr. Carrion performed lumbar surgery and was successful in fusing my lumbar. I could of been paralyzed but instead I run daily, and continue to dance. Dr. Carrion is great with children and very informative with parents. I continued to see Dr. Carrion for 10 years until I moved away. I have never had any problems with my back and continue to live life to the fullest. I am blessed to of had Dr. Carrion as a doctor.
