After 8 months of screwy blood fasting work with my Internist, Dr. Catherine Roberts trying to figure out what was wrong and my neglecting to mention a chronic cough that I thought was CPAP related, chest X-rays showed something amiss! That day, Dr. Roberts left out of the exam room to speak with Dr. King. He immediately met with me and said he wanted blood drawn (7 vials right then). From that point on, over a period of 16 months, I was under his experienced care treating an autoimmune disease called Sarcoidosis. My blood was tested for all kinds of exotic diseases and when the results came back, he told me what he believed I had but that he needed definitive proof. One enzyme that is an indicator for Sarcoidosis was over 200 and the normal high range is 60. From that point on, I was in the best capable hands from the CT scan with Contrast in the local hospital to having me inside Emory within a week for two different lung and lymph node biopsies being performed by the Head… of that floor! Finally, a treatment of steroids for 14 months to ensure the disease was in remission. This is why I call Dr. King my miracle doctor!

Dr. King is caring and compassionate. He listens and shows genuine interest in your care. He is our family's favorite physician, as he has treated 3 of our members. We cannot say enough wonderful things about him.
