I have appreciated my experiences at Blue Ridge Pediatrics; however, I will not be returning to see this particular provider. My daughter's appointment was scheduled for 4:30 PM, and while I understand that everyone wants to conclude their workday on a Friday, I would have expected a medical professional to be willing to accommodate appointments that may run longer as needed. Unfortunately, our consultation felt rushed, lasting less than five minutes despite our having traveled over 45 minutes to attend. No tests were administered, and although my daughter's symptoms warranted further evaluation, the provider did not suggest a urine test or a strep or flu test. Hours later, her fever spiked to over 103 degrees. Although St. Claire assured us that everything was fine and it was merely a typical gastrointestinal bug, I believe additional testing was warranted. Moreover, I found the provider's bedside manner to be lacking. (Especially to be working with children). His explanation regarding dietary restrictions during a gastrointestinal illness seemed outdated and unnecessary, as it is common knowledge. If the choice is between this provider, urgent care, or at-home test kits from a local pharmacy, I would recommend seeking alternatives to St. Claire. Now I understand why there are available appointments with this provider."

I went through many doctors when my baby girl was born and I know they are all doing the same as us parents, trying to figure out what’s wrong with the little ones. However. this doctor went above and beyond his job to find out what was wrong with my baby girl turned out we had to transport her to wake forest hospital, but he was the only one willing to look into and make calls and figure out what was wrong. Otherwise, my baby girl could have been way worse she spent right at 2 months in the hospital at wake forest and watauga but if it hadn’t been for this doctor she would have been worse off than she already was. He is great and so is his staff.
