Dr. Whitney Alexis Burrell, MD

Weight first question on website. Whitney Burrell and her staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. From the very beginning, she focused heavily on my weight, repeatedly commenting on it in a way that felt judgmental and discouraging. Despite my medical history and concerns, I was pressured to make drastic changes that were unrealistic for me. I was pressured by her into radial sudden weight loss. When I raised questions about the impact on results, lose weight rapidly, get plastic surgery, inevitable gain the weight back due to unsafe and maybe even unethical pressures to lose it... she agreed it would affect outcomes to the plastic surgery. She showed the most basic lack of understanding and planning: for weight loss, weight gain, the fact that I didn't have to look like everybody else and have her approval. This is basic stuff she failed to show she could understand or implement. She also made inappropriate comments about my body, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. On top… of that, after Burrell consulting with another provider, she COMPLETELY changed the treatment plan, presenting entirely different procedures and pricing than what was initially discussed. When I questioned these inconsistencies, she became hostile and unprofessional. Her one staff did a head wobble in arrogance when speaking down to me when I confronted her rudeness. It was not age appropriate to a professional setting. I would not recommend her services

Dr. Burrell is so confident of her own skills that she fails to always listen to her patients, taking risks with patient health with the words "I knew you would be up for it," ignoring pre-op decisions and doing what she wants to do in surgery regardless of patient wishes. Stay away and find a doctor with some humility who will honor patient decisions.

I had breast implants that were 30+years old. They were ruptured, severely capsulated and painful. I had consultations with three other surgeons before I meet Dr. Burrell. I felt comfortable with her immediately. She was attentive and extremely helpful in explaining the choices I had. I am delighted with the results of my surgery. I wanted a very natural look and she achieved a wonderful result for me. I would recommend Dr Burrell highly. I would also like to commend the other staff members at this facility from the receptionist to the Spa they have all been welcoming, caring and very professional.
