Dr. William Albert Baione, MD

I went to Dr Baione in incredible pain from arthritis in my right hip to the point where I could barely walk. Dr Baione was compassionate, very personable and explained the hip relacement surgery to me in understandable terms. He was reassuring about the surgery and positive about the outcome. I was walking the day of the surgery and have not needed a walker or cane after the first several days. My recovery has been short of remarkable which I attribute to Dr Baione's expertise and unique technique of hip replacement from the lateral anterior approach instead of the lateral approach. I would recommend him 100% and I am so grateful for my full recovery

Broke my femur which also impacted my hip (ball and socket) taking a tumble on a bicycle. Dr. Baione, who just by luck happened to be on call) performed the surgery which involved a total hip replacement (his recommendation vice less optimal alternatives) using the Anterior method. He explained the entire procedure ahead of time, but to be honest I was in so much pain, I only comprehended small parts of it. Post-Surgery, I did all the required exercises and PT recommendations religiously. During the first follow up visit with Dr. Baione, he took the time to answer all my questions and also used a model of the entire titanium and ceramic structure and explained how it worked in detail (my engineer persona really appreciated this). Recovery was much faster and easier than I anticipated after those first few painful days. I cut the grass with a push mower 2.5 weeks after the surgery with no real problem! My Physical Therapist also mentioned that they have had several of his patients… and they all did very well recuperating. As a new patient he spent over a hour with me discussing X-rays, testing & opinions. What doctor does that !! He is extremely thorough and has a great bedside manner which is extremely important. I highly recommend Dr. Baione.
