Dr. William Franklin Baker JR., MD

Some ignorant posts state waiting for over an hour and incompetency. However, these posts are an injustice to this doctor and his incredible talent. Dr. Baker takes his time and is extremely thorough with each of his patients. If you understand this ahead of time, you will also understand that this may push patient’s appointment times back. He is dealing with life and death circumstances, which include people’s emotions and their sense for more knowledge with the receipt of a new diagnosis. He is compassionate and understanding in this manner. He sincerely listens to each of his patients and answers every question very thoroughly. He does not just push somebody out of the office like many will. He is also a leading specialist and has several works on clotting disorders and has been honored (several times) for his works. I about laughed when I read a post about his lack of knowledge...quite literally, the complete opposite of that. One would know that if they truly sat… down and had a conversation with him. I have been going to Dr. Baker for the past two and half years. Knowing how he has helped me and thousands of others, I would encourage people to avoid the inclination of spreading false propaganda about somebody, because they are upset that their tests results did not line up with a scheduled appointment.

This doctor's office and doctor himself are a joke. 2 hour wait to find out he hasn't run the one test that I was sent to him to have run. He also talks badly about other great doctors. What a joke. Avoid at all cost.

Terrible and incompetent doctor. I came in multiple time for a clotting disorder, the incorrect tests were ordered several times, but despite not having the results the doctor made me come in so he could charge me for a visit only to tell me the results were not back. Each visit I had to wait over an hour as well. This doctor and this office is a joke. Avoid at all cost, go to a real competent physician for your clotting disorders, not a hack.

Very good Doctor and staff

I have not seen Dr. Baker in about two years. When I asked his office staff to schedule me with him, rather than one of his PA's I was told he had no available appointments. The office staff is rude and argumentitive, at times becoming downright offensive. Dr. Baker is a wonderful, caring doctor who is perhaps overworked, although, on my last visit, there was a sign displayed in his office stating he was accepting new patients.

Dr. Baker needs to train his manager and receptionist. They not only rude but also poorly educated on office manners; argumentative with patients on private office related details.It is a shame that Dr. Baker does not know about it, since they represent such an important part of his practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Baker for more than 5 years. He was very quick to diagnose two serious medical problems that had very few symptoms.

His male PA is sleezy--I heard him totally hitting on a female patient a few months ago and he spent a long time with her. Dr. Baker's practice is very busy as it is without all of that nonsense going on.

Dr Baker is an excellent doctor. But his practice is too big and you have to wait a long time. He only has one or two other doctors, one is on leave, and the staff needs improvement. They are treating too many patients.
