Dr. William Elliott Barfield, MD

Dr.Barfield did surgery on my nose.I had Copd,Asthma and couldn’t breathe or smell.I can’t breathe and smell, like I haven’t in over10 years. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Barfield is very quick and efficient. He is a very knowledgeable surgeon. He is laid back and honest. He is not afraid to be very straight-forward and I appreciate that in a doctor. I trust him. He is easy to talk to.

He is very knowledgeable and efficient. He is very timely. I have had only positive experiences with Dr. Barfield and I will continue to receive any ENT treatment with him as my preferred provider.

Very rude, don't listen, was just explaining my situation to him and he stated I need to get another doctor because me and him didn't get along I just was explaining my situation very unprofessional and in a rush he has serious problems I think someone needs to check him out.

All that really matters is that Dr. Barfield's sinus surgery on me was nothing short of a miracle. Before surgery, I had been on cortisone and antibiotics for most of the preceding two years. After surgery I was symptom free. I took no pain medication post surgery and was largely recovered after two weeks. At three months I have a beautiful straight nose and breathing is effortless.

He's got excellent surgical skills, but comes across to patients as arrogant, rushed, and a bit blaise about procedures (almost as if he's bored by them). Hospital could not reach him for 2 hours (he was "at lunch") when our family patient had unexpected fainting and nausea, needing further treatment. He at least needs to allow a colleague to be a backup or on call.
