Dr. William David Bruce, MD

Excellent, excellent surgeon..and an even finer human being

This was my second knee surgery, my original Doctor didn't take my insurance anymore so I found Dr. Bruce & I thank God I did. He explained everything to me so clearly even without me asking him to. Very nice & listened to any concerns or questions I had. Love Dr Bruce

I waited over 2hrs, when I finally decided to leave I was met with a level of sarcasm and a sense of entitlement from Dr. Bruce that is difficult to explain. He may be a competent doctor but it is difficult to say when the physician never comes in to see you and gives you a hard time for leaving. He told me, "It is not like have been out playing golf!" Honestly, I would have rather him be out playing golf, my wait would have been more justified. Form what I can tell he was sitting at the nurses station unconcerned with my presence. If you are looking for a concerned doctor who values your time, look elsewhere.

I've had to go to Dr. Bruce multiple times over the years because I can't seem to sit still long enough to stop breaking things. He is awesome! I can't say enough good things about him. He takes the time to explain exactly what is going on. He is super personable and jokes around, but he is also straight forward and tells you your options. It is difficult at times to get in to see him, but well worth it if you can. Excellent surgeon with excellent bedside manner. Highly recommend.

He is an exceptional Doctor and he has very courteous staff.

Beware of making an appointment with Dr. David Bruce if you're looking for a second opinion. My wife sat in the waiting room for 1-1/2 hours only to be turned away because she was told, "Dr. Bruce doesn't do exams for second opinions." He wasn't man enough to tell my wife face-to-face. One of his nurses had to do it for him. I can truly say, it's a good thing I wasn't there.

I have been going to Dr.Bruce for 10 years & he has performed several surgeries on me. I would recommend him to any & everyone. I'm forever grateful for the help he has given me. GREAT doctor. He never fails to spend time explaining issues & has great bedside manner. He is also not one to jump the gun on surgery, but instead try other options & therapies before having to do surgery. Chattanooga is blessed to have him!

He was completely off in my diagnosis and spent 2 or 3 minutes with me and acted like it wasn't a big deal at all. Come to find out I have a very obvious fracture and may need surgery or put in a cast. He suggested that in a week or two I would be fine in a hard soled shoe. I have heard many people that have been completley dissatisfied with him. Do not go to him
