Dr. William W Bucy, MD

Dr Bucy is always just of phone call away. I have both his office and cell number. He hasn’t ever failed to take my call after hours. I am a very happy patient. Carl Barton

DR. Bucy was my personal physician for 10 years before I relocated to another city. He carried me thru many health issues and always made the best call for my treatments. He has a great bedside manner and builds good rapport with his patients. I have seen several other physicians since leaving the Memphis area but Dr. Bucy is still the best doctor I have ever had.

Dr Bucy & his staff are wonderful! They have been treating me for 10 yrs and my husband for 20... Couldn't ask for better. They actually care. Long waits sometimes but worth it. Long waits=Good Dr- have an emergency and need to see him, they will get you in, even if they have to stay late. Dr Bucy DOES NOT write out anything you want as far as prescriptions go so do not know where that previous comment came from. He only writes what you need and what he is comfortable giving you. He saw me as a last minute appt about a yr and half ago, I was miserable and needed to see someone and my Dermatologist was out of town, he said he would check me out but wasn't sure how much help he would be... All he had to do was look at me... he left the room and came back with a book with pics and info as to what I had... Pytariasis Rosea! Gave me a steroid shot and some cream and got me in to see a Dermatologist he knew the following day. He may be "old school" but is very smart and… knowledgeable. I have never had any problems with him or his staff. They are amazing, sincere, and caring and would recomend them to anyone!

He has taken care of my family for over 20 years and I cannot recommend him highly enough He has diagnosed our conditions every time, sent us to specialists when necessary He has never been willing to prescibe medications for us without seeing us and while inconvenient it is the correct practice and shows thoroughness I believe the person who wrote that he hands out scripts was not being truthful He is an outstanding physician--and yes--he is very busy and this is why

I have seen Dr. Bucy quite a few times, and he is a caring, knowledgeable doctor. He is friendly and takes an interest in what's going on with his patients. The office staff are warm and friendly, especially his receptionist. It is comforting to hear a kind voice on the phone who is always accomodating. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of a primary care physician!

I saw some of the negative comments and felt I should give a review, since I've been happy with his service the last five years. My only complaint has been the wait time, but I usually don't have an appointment, so I can't blame him for that. On the positive side, he does spend time to figure out the problems and his staff will run tests before he sees you, so he is making an educated decision. He also doesn't pretend to know everything about everything - a trait you might not find common among doctors. In a couple instances, he wasn't sure of the right path to take so he provided a referral and appointment to see a specialist in the ares. His staff is always friendly. - something else I have found unsatisfactory about other offices.At the risk of making his wait times longer, I recommend his as a primary care doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Bucy's several years ago, when Dr. Bucy was one of the few doctors covered by my family's insurance at the time. He knows very little about common modern medical procedures and I presume that he is simply riding out the remainder of his years before retirement. Writing out prescriptions carelessly to appease his regular patients... who don't care whether or not he is overprescribing antibiotics, or misdiagnosing for brevity's sake. If you have a cold and want something that makes the cough go away and makes you feel kinda goofy, give him a call.
