Dr Burks should be named a saint! I walked into his office unexpectedly when my oncologist took so much from a "mole" on my face that she was afraid to sew me up fearing tremendous scarring. The wound was covered with bandages while still open as I rushed to his office for emergency ocular plastic surgery. After many hours and many, many, many stitches, we all finally went home well after normal business hours. All the while, Dr Burks and his staff stayed caring and professional, never making me feel like I got in their way of going home early. And what a fabulous job Dr Burks did on my face! Just a few months later, the stitches are nearly invisible and the shape of my eye area and entire cheek are nearly back to normal (all sewn up by Dr Burks). On all my follow up visits, Dr Burks and all his staff were very thorough, informative and took the time not only to tell me how to take care of my wounds, but why I was doing it, and what the results should be so I can make sure I was… progressing correctly between appointments.
